 nservation during The Living Desert’s Desert Ranger Challenge on Saturda
 y\, Sept. 19. The event supports the Wildlife Ranger Challenge and the Bla
 ck Mambas Anti-Poaching Unit\, an all-women ranger team protecting South A
 frica’s Greater Kruger region. Participants can complete a 2.1-mile walk
 /run at 7 a.m.\, honoring the rangers’ 21-kilometer challenge\, before h
 earing from Black Mambas founder Craig Spencer at 8:30 a.m. The event also
  includes a virtual Q&A with Black Mambas members in South Africa\, partic
 ipant swag and a chance to win a dual membership to The Living Desert. The
  Living Desert supports more than 105 conservation projects across 12 coun
 tries\, making this local event part of a much larger conservation effort.
