  looking for lesbian and sapphic nightlife in downtown Orlando that actual
 ly centers you\, this is the Friday to put in your phone. \n\n\n\nWhat to 
 expect\n\nDJ Nani Soul from 10 PM to 2:30 AM: a resident who reads the roo
 m and keeps it moving\, mixing R&B\, hip-hop\, Latin\, pop and dance witho
 ut letting the energy dip.\nA crowd that is actually sapphic: women\, femm
 es\, mascs\, non-binary folks and their people. This is the whole point of

 idays\nSapphic Fridays grew out of a simple gap in the Orlando scene: plen
 ty of LGBTQ+ nightlife\, not nearly enough of it aimed squarely at sapphic
  folks. Anthem gave the night a real Friday slot and a real sound system r
 ather than a back room\, and DJ Nani Soul\, a fixture in Orlando’s queer
  DJ circuit\, has been the anchor since. The result is a recurring Friday 
 that regulars treat as a standing plan and newcomers tend to walk into alo
 ne and leave with a group. Some Fridays bring a themed edition with guest 
 performers\; the baseline is always the same: Nani Soul\, a packed floor\,
  and a room where sapphic guests are the default rather than the exception

 Percussion Ensemble** and have had the opportunity to perform with artists
  and groups including **Chasing Jonah\, Tangent\, Red Shift Mantra\, The M
 anteis Project\, Mr. Richard\, Leo Aether\, Ka Malinalli\, Liz Nash**\, an
 d many others.\nWhile I'm grateful for the experiences and mentors I've ha
 d along the way\, I still consider myself a student first. Every rhythm ca
 rries a story\, every tradition has something to teach\, and there is alwa
 ys more to learn.\nMy classes emphasize authentic world rhythms\, solid te
 chnique\, listening\, creativity\, and—most importantly—the joy of mak
 ing music together. Whether you're picking up a drum for the first time or
  looking to expand your musical vocabulary\, you'll find a welcoming commu
 nity where learning is hands-on\, encouraging\, and rooted in respect for

 ace for Central Florida's LGBTQ+ community in the years after Pulse. He bo
