 \n\n\n\nChris Beaty is an author from Omaha\, Nebraska. In December 2025\,

 dcast interviews\, and video content. He has master degrees from the Unive
 rsity of Nebraska and Creighton University\, is a licensed Professional Ar

DESCRIPTION:Ghosts that We Knew is a tribute to Sarah and George Josyln’
 s love of horticulture at the turn of the 20th century. They were known fo
 r their renowned orchid collection\, which included more than 1\,200 orchi
 ds\, as well as a 6\,200 square foot conservatory. Devastatingly\, the con
 servatory\, along with their beloved plants\, trees\, and grounds\, was de
 stroyed in the 1913 Easter Tornado. The exhibition serves as a small homag
 e to that loss\, both for them and the city\, and features 16 detailed\, v
 ibrant colored-pencil botanical drawings by Gabriella Quiroz.  \n\n\n\n\n
 \n\n\nGabriella Quiroz is an Omaha\, Nebraska-based artist. Her work has b
 een featured in numerous group showings throughout Omaha and its surroundi
 ng areas. Gabi works primarily in oil paints and colored pencils developin
 g works of symbolic imagery through flora and fauna. \n\n\n\nWhile she not
 es her education in the arts began from a very young age\, her formal educ
 ation took its roots at the University of Nebraska Omaha. She received a B
 achelor of Fine Arts specializing in painting and drawing and a minor in A
 rt History. \n\n\n\nFor Gabi celebrations such as Halloween\, Christmas\, 
 and Dia de los Muertos played essential roles in her childhood and still h
 old meaning for her today. This\, in part with her upbringing and experien
 ces alongside other creative people\, has led her to study symbolism and h
 ow it differs from society to society\, throughout time. \n\n\n\nHer work 
 continues to involve these subjects heavily\, and as a result\, it is expa
 nding into exploring more with these mediums.Please stop by her studio and

 vignette. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe dramatic production includes scenes 
 from three iconic works of Gothic fiction. A young mother writes about her
  isolation and anxiety in The Yellow Wallpaper by Charlotte Perkins Gilm
 an. In Henry James’ The Turn of the Screw\, a governess shares her con
 fusion and fear of evil influences. The final chapter of Robert Louis Stev
 enson’s famous novella is titled “Henry Jekyll’s Full Statement of t
 he Case” and is the final confession of the doctor. \n\n\n\n\n\nThe Cast
 le bar will be open selling refreshments and libations\, please bring a va
 lid ID to partake in adult beverages. \n\n\n\nThe Gothic Art and Literatur
