 ting session at the Kosmo Coworking in downtown Olympia. We're a supportiv
 e and friendly group that welcomes writers of all backgrounds and skill le
 vels.\n\n**WHAT WE'LL DO:**\n\n**Our goal is to get writing done.**\n6pm \
 \~ Hello!\n6:10pm \\~ Independent writing\n7pm \\~ Reading & feedback\n\nW
 e start with a brief hello and writing project check-ins. Then we'll clock
  50 minutes of writing time. We don't offer a prompt. People work on all k
 inds of projects\, from novels to academic work to personal journals.\n\nA
 fter the writing time is up\, you can stick around and volunteer to read w
 hat you wrote\, or listen to others. We keep readings under 7 minutes each
 \, with another 10 minutes or so for people to respond.\n\n**We're not a h
 ard-core critique group.** Feedback focuses on what people thought or felt
  when they heard your work. Some may offer simple suggestions to strengthe
 n work. We're a positive\, encouraging group. Some writers have published 
 many books\, while others are not yet ready to actually call themselves a 
 "writer" out loud. Regardless of where you are in your writing journey\, y
 ou will be valued and find value in this gathering. New members and drop-i
 ns always welcome.\n\n**WHAT TO BRING:**\n\n**Your preferred writing mater
 ials.** Many people bring laptops or tablets. Some bring paper and pen.\n\
 n**FOR THOSE WHO OVERTHINK THINGS:**\n\nWe follow “cat rules”. Come an
 d go as you please. Get up and walk around if you need to. Use earbuds or 
 don’t. It’s okay to arrive late and it’s okay to leave early. Come o
 ne time\, come every time. It’s all good.\n\nTip: RSVP counts are rarely
  accurate. This event is shared across multiple meetups.\n\nMeetup says th
 e event is full? Come anyway! There’s space for you.\n\nThis is a divers
 e group of writers. If you come\, you will be expected to be kind and welc
 oming to people who may have backgrounds\, beliefs\, neurotypes or lifesty
 les that you are unfamiliar or uncomfortable with. People may share writin
 g that is deeply personal\, has adult themes\, or expresses viewpoints you
  disagree with. Awesome. We connect and respect each other as fellow write
 rs. Focus on the craft over content and support the people in your local c
 ommunity on their unique journey as a writer.\n\nOnly write romance? Or pe
 rsonal essays? Or historical fiction? Or sci-if or poetry or screenplays? 
 Cool! This group is not limited to a specific genre or style. Work on your
  LOTR/Futurama fanfic mashup\, your essays on paleontology in the early 19
 00’s\, your snarky flash fiction. We love it all.\n\n**WE'VE MOVED!**\n*

 he new coworking and writing center. The new space isn't open to the publi
 c yet\, Our writing group gets to use it early because we are awesome like
