 ification teaches best practices to front-line employees and volunteers an
 d ensures that they understand their role in increasing tourism.\nThe obje
 ctive of our Seattle Certified Tourism Ambassador Program is to foster a d
 estination-wide culture of quality service\, encouraging repeat business a
 nd turning visitors into advocates. \nBy becoming a credentialed Certifie
 d Tourism Ambassador™\, hospitality employees\, volunteers\, and communi
 ty members will have the resources and training necessary to create a more
  memorable visitor experience. \nThe curriculum consists of reading assign
 ments\, a half-day classroom session\, and an open-book exam. Upon success
 ful completion\, participants will earn the Certified Tourism Ambassador
 ™ designation and receive an industry-recognized professional credentia
 l and accompanying initials that can be used behind the person’s name to
  denote their commitment as a Certified Tourism Ambassador™ (e.g.\, Jim
  Smith\, CTA). The CTA logo may also be used on your organization’s webs
 ite and business cards/communications with approval. Annual renewal of 
 certification is necessary to maintain your designation. \nAs a licensed A
 ccredited Provider\, Visit Seattle presents the official CTA designation o
 n behalf of the Tourism Ambassador Institute®\, the oversight body for th
 e certification program. \nThere is a one-time\, non-refundable\, non-tran
 sferrable enrollment fee of $45 per person and an annual renewal fee of $3
 5 (discounted to $25 for early renewals). \nCertification enrollment is op
 en to anyone who is directly or indirectly involved in the tourism ind
 ustry or in serving locals and visitors (leisure travelers\, business 
 travelers\, spectators\, attendees\, etc.). This includes but is not limit
 ed to people who represent: \n\nAirports\nAttractions & Activities (muse
 um\, cultural\, gaming\, sports\, etc.)\nCity/County/State Government (m
