n**Book of the Month:** *The Immaculate Void* by Brian Hodge\n\n**Book Sum
mary**\nYou wouldn’t think events happening years apart\, at points in t
he solar system hundreds of millions of miles distant\, would have anythin
g to do with each other.\n\nWhen she was six\, Daphne was taken into a nei
ghbor’s tool shed and came within seconds of never coming out alive. Mos
t of the scars healed. Except for the one that went all the way through.\n
\nYou wouldn’t think that the serial murders of children and the one who
got away would have any connection with the strange fate of one of Jupite
r’s moons.\n\nTwo decades later\, when Daphne goes missing again\, it’
s nothing new.\nAs her exes might agree\, running is what she does best\,
so her brother Tanner sets out one more time to find her. Whether in the m
ountains or in his own family\, search and rescue is what he does best.\n\
nBut it does. It’s all connected. Everything’s connected.\n\nYou can c
heck the trigger warnings at the bottom\, or dive in blind if you prefer a
  surprise.\n\nDon’t worry if you haven’t finished the book\, we’ll s
tart by chatting about whatever spooky (or not-so-spooky) reads we’re en
joying before diving into the featured title. Come for the eerie atmospher
e\, stay for the lively conversations and\, of course\, the cats\, because
  let’s be honest\, that’s why you’re *really* here\, isn’t it? <--

many books\, while others are not yet ready to actually call themselves a
"writer" out loud. Regardless of where you are in your writing journey\, y
ou will be valued and find value in this gathering. New members and drop-i

les that you are unfamiliar or uncomfortable with. People may share writin
g that is deeply personal\, has adult themes\, or expresses viewpoints you
disagree with. Awesome. We connect and respect each other as fellow write
