She has been my shadow ever since. Now 12 years old\, Daisy is a blue nose pit bull w ho has settled very comfortably into her senior years. In her younger days \, she was always ready for an adventure- running\, playing\, exploring\, and swimming in just about any body of water we could find. These days\, s he’s traded most of that excitement for the simpler pleasures in life. H er ideal afternoon is spent napping in her favorite sunny spot on the back porch or curled up in her designated place on the couch. Preferably with one of there favorite people close by. Daisy’s personality is truly one of a kind. She loves her people deeply and is fiercely devoted to her inn er circle. When it comes to other animals she has just a handful of carefu lly chosen dog friends and one cat in her life who regularly bullies her\, a situation Daisy seems to have reluctantly accepted. She’s also extre mely expressive. Daisy communicates primarily through an impressive assort ment of grunts that make her sound more like a little piglet than a dog. W hen she falls asleep\, those grunts give way to snores loud enough to comp ete with anyone else in the house. But\, Daisy doesn’t really need to m ake a sound to tell you how she feels. She has mastered the art of communi cating entire thoughts with a single look. Beyond the classic pit bull sid e-eye\, she has perfected a puppy-dog pout that makes it nearly impossible to tell her no.
