DESCRIPTION:Queens Board Gamers Group\nWe play all sorts of board games\,
from light party games to heavy euros\, and have a permanent collection at
the pantry including staples such as 7 wonders\, catan\, everdell\, etc.
People are more than welcome to bring their own games or run RPG campaigns
as well!\n\nWe typically host around 15-20 people with 3-5 games running
at a time. We can't guarantee you getting into a game if you arrive too la
te\, but will do our best to get you into a game. hard start time at 7:15p
m and usually around 11pm\, but can and do go later depending on demand.\n
\nThe location is a non-profit food pantry that runs solely on donations f
rom the public. **We do not require a donation to play\, but strongly enco
urage it** as the pantry is very generous in letting us use the space week
ly for years now.\n\nIt's OK to bring food or drinks to the venue. Please
respect the games and keep them clean if you are eating. This location doe
s not have food to purchase\, but we sometimes have snacks\, and have plen
ty of great restaurants in the vicinity. Alcohol is allowed\, but we ask y
ou to limit yourself out of respect to everyone.\n\n**Masks are required a
nd provided by the pantry to protect those with weakened immune systems.**

roup which meet at various locations. **Please be sure to RSVP for the cor
rect section.**\n\n**This section will meet at Mangia Bene in Great Neck a
s part of a testing phase from 2 to 8 PM.**\n\n**VENUE AND TIME ALLOTTED**
\n\n**Mangia Bene is an Italian restaurant located at 624 Middle Neck Road
in Great Neck. For those who drive\, it is best to park in the municipal
parking lot located diagonally across from the venue (the street parking i
n front of the venue is for 90 minutes and applies to Sundays as well). Fo
r those commuting by bus\, the N58 bus line stops nearby.**\n\nMembers arr

for the entire time allotted. It is encouraged to post in the Comments sec
tion what time you plan on arriving/leaving.\n\n**PROTOCOL**\n\n**This ven
ue is a place of business willing and able to accommodate our group. The m

XPECT**\n\nIf you're looking for a fun and friendly group of people to pla
y a variety of games with\, join us for a Sunday meetup at Mangia Bene in
Great Neck.\n\n**Newcomers are always welcome!** Growing up\, most of us p
layed children's games (ex: Candyland\, Sorry\, Connect Four) and classic
games (ex: Checkers\, Chess\, Scrabble\, Monopoly). Gaming has truly evolv
ed since then\, with an increase in volume of games/categories created alo
ng with an increase in complexity and sophistication of rules and strategi
es. These "modern games" involve a whole other world that you may never he
ard of\, however there will be others who will bring these games and teach
you (see list below - you can also go to YouTube to preview and familiari
ze yourself).\n\nBringing your own games is not mandatory\, however if you
possess any\, feel free to bring them as there are always people looking
to learn something new or to find a new favorite board game.\n\nAlso\, it
is recommended and encouraged to use the message board here to indicate wh
ich games are being brought and would like to be played.\n\nYou can also c
heck out our Facebook page as well:\n\nhttps://www.facebook.com/groups/que
 ensboardgames\n\n**Examples of games played**\n\nBeginner/Gateway games -
 Splendor\, Qwirkle\, Sagrada\, Azul\, Century Spice Road\, Carcassonne\, T
icket to Ride\, Settlers of Catan\n\nLight strategy games - Kingsburg\, St
 one Age\, Istanbul\, Puerto Rico\n\nMedium strategy games - Concordia\, Th

 rco Polo\n\nHeavier strategy games - Tzolk'in\, Caverna\, Agricola\, Kanba
 n\, Brass\n\nCooperative games - Forbidden Island\, Pandemic\, Hanabi\, Fl
 ashpoint\, Spirit Island\, Dead of Winter\n\nCard games - Parade\, Slide 5
