 oga classes in the serene Besthoff Sculpture Garden. Classes take place ev
 ery Saturday morning and Monday evening. This Saturday’s course will be 
 led by Claiborne Davis. \nClass is $5 for members and $10 for the general 
 public. Enter at the main entrance gate to the Sculpture Garden on Dueling
  Oaks Drive. Please bring your own mat and a digital or printed version o

 ment workshop exploring how editorial cartoonists throughout history have 
 captured perspectives on the events and issues of their time through humor
 \, satire\, symbolism\, and artistic skill. \nParticipating teachers will 
 explore the life and work of WWII cartoonist Bill Mauldin and tour the spe
 cial exhibition Drawn to Combat: Bill Mauldin and the Art of War with memb
 ers of the Museum’s curatorial team. Educators will also discover strate
 gies for using and analyzing editorial cartoons\, comics\, and other visua
 l media as primary sources in the classroom and participate in a hands-on 
 cartooning workshop with a professional artist. Participants will leave wi
 th classroom-ready strategies\, curricula\, and Museum resources. \nThis d
 aylong workshop is free of cost and will include coffee\, lunch\, and park

 panel discussion moderated by Dillard University student and Ogden Museum 
 HBCU Intern\, Kennedy Timmons\, featuring four student artists included in

 man (Xavier University)\, Dillion Stuart (Xavier University)\, Sydnei Heis
 ser (Dillard University) and Ronnesha Ewing (Dillard University). \nFree t

  HBCU Art Showcase \nThirteen years ago\, Ogden Museum of Southern Art and
  The New Orleans Chapter of The Links\, Incorporated formed a partnership 
 with the goal of presenting an exhibition that would spotlight works of ar
 t created by students attending Louisiana’s Historically Black Colleges 
 and Universities (HBCUs) and provide an opportunity to celebrate those art
 ists. Since then\, the HBCU Art Showcase has been presented annually in th
 e Museum’s Education Gallery\, a space designated to honor the teaching 
 of art and works created by students in the Southern region of the United 
 States. This year’s exhibition features 45 artworks by students attendin
