DESCRIPTION:The ERDie Project is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that is named afte
r Emma Ryleigh Dixon\, known to many as ERDie. The non-profit is something
that Emma’s parents\, Jeni and Charlie\, felt very passionate about get
ting started after the loss of their daughter on April 1\, 2022. Our missi
on is to raise funds for pediatric bone cancer research and to help famili
es battling this horrible disease. Childhood cancer is rare but childhood
bone cancer only makes up about 3% of all pediatric cancers with only abou
t 1\,000 cases diagnosed annually in the United States. Although there are
millions of dollars donated to cancer research annually\, only 4% of that
money raised goes towards pediatric cancer research with fractions of tha
t amount going towards pediatric bone sarcomas. There has been progress in
finding cures for cancer as a whole but The ERDie Project is focused on m
aking a difference when it comes to finding new ways to treat and cure bon
e cancer in children. The same treatment protocols have been place since t
he 1980s and that is unacceptable. \n  \nFor more information\, please vi

DESCRIPTION:Join us for a liturgy and discussion around sacred texts that
shape our lives. Our liturgies are movements guiding our time together\, o
ften consisting of prayers\, readings (of poetry\, the Bible\, activists\,
etc.)\, and reflection questions. This week's liturgy will invite convers
ation around texts that have nourished us\, challenged us\, or been a sou
rce of wisdom for us. Feel free to participate as much as you'd like\, or
just come and listen. No pressure.\nFollowing our liturgy\, we will share
in a FREE DINNER together! All of this will take place in St. Augustine's
Chapel\, a cute little A-Frame building along Greek Row. Reach out if you
need help finding us!\nCanterbury (the college group) and St. A's are a w
elcoming and affirming faith community of The Episcopal Church. We hope to
be a safe haven for you to fully be yourself\, experience community & bel
onging\, and wrestle with the big (and small!) questions of faith & life.
No pre-reqs or hidden agendas here!\n\nHosted by: Canterbury CIRCLE (Chris
tians of Interdenominational faith Realizing a Community of Love and Equal
ity)\n\nAdditional Information can be found at: https://anchorlink.vanderb
