DESCRIPTION:Virtual Workshop – Live/OnlineFee: $50 for MCN members / $70
for nonmembers \n\n\n\n\n\nRegister Now\n\n\n\n\n\nIt sounds easier to go
after that One Big Grant to get the resources for your mission\, but inst
itutional givers can change priorities and sometimes require a lot of prog
ram restrictions. Individual donors rarely restrict gifts\, and recurring
donors can be the gift that keeps giving! \n\n\n\nJoin Steve Boland\, dire
ctor of Next in Nonprofits\, to learn about starting your work in individu
al donor support. The session will cover: \n\n\n\n\nInitial list building
 – who are you going to ask for support?\n\n\n\nMoving people up the enga
gement ladder from curious to supporter to donor\n\n\n\nUsing peer-support
to grow your donor base\n\n\n\nCreating a process for donor stewardship\,
including automation and online tools as appropriate\n\n\n\nBuilding a ca
lendar of campaigns for the year (wait – what’s a campaign?)\n\n\n\n\n
Participants will leave the session with an overview of options to build r
egular\, unrestricted giving for your mission work. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEvent
Details\n\n\n\nThis virtual event will take place on the Zoom platform. Yo
ur access link will be emailed to you the day before the event after 12 p.
 m. \n\n\n\nThis session will be recorded. The recording will be made avail
able to registrants after the live event. \n\n\n\nCaptioning is provided a
utomatically through Zoom. For information on requesting CART\, ASL\, or a
nother accommodation\, please visit our Registration Policies page. \n\n\
n\nTo learn more about events\, registration\, and payment\, visit our Eve
 nt & Registration FAQ page. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSpeaker Information\n\n\n\n\n
\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSteve Boland (he/him) is a nonprofit veteran with over twent
y-five years of experience helping charities grow with new ideas in fundra
ising and communications. He has served as executive director of three org
anizations before founding Next in Nonprofits in 2013. Steve has presented
over 100 learning sessions on topics such as crowdfunding\, engaging corp
orate philanthropy\, and social media strategy for nonprofits. \n\n\n\n\n
\nSteve disputes his Myers Briggs Type characterization of Commander (ENTJ
) as any kind of apt descriptor\, as authentic leadership never comes from
issuing orders. A graduate of the University of Minnesota Twin Cities\, S
teve holds a Master of Nonprofit Management from Hamline University and is
an alumnus of the Shannon Leadership Institute.
