DESCRIPTION:Swing Jazz Wednesday at The Argo — The Westerlees brings vin
tage heat to the North Shore’s newest live music space. \n\n\n\n\nDoors
at 6:00pm. Music at 7:00pm. Join us before the show! Our restaurant & lo
unge opens at 4:00pm with food\, cocktails\, and more. \nThe Westerlees
swing band plays both rare and popular tunes from the early 20th Century
. Steel Guitar\, Fiddle\, Clarinet all come together to recreate the stand
ard Western Swing lineup of the 1930’s. Everything from the Light Crust
Doughboys to Bob Wills to Hank Williams is performed with levity and humor
. Swing-era standards are carefully selected and arranged for maximum danc
eability. They also have many original tunes that capture the drollery of
the Western Swing genre. \nThe band was founded in 2014 by singer and stee
l guitarist\, Patrick Brenner. The band also includes Ed Novak on Guitar\,
Ben Holt on Upright Bass\, Allen Russell on Fiddle\, Jerry Kaye on Sax an
d Clarinet\, Frank Gualtieri on Trombone\, Amanda Mae on vocals\, and a ro
tating cast of other soloists and vocalists\, each bringing their own expe
rtise and personality to the delectably nostalgic sound and performance of
the Westerlees. \nSwing Jazz Wednesdays are casual\, welcoming\, and all
about the music. Come as you are\, grab a seat and listen\, or dance the n
ight away. Join us for free swing dance lessons starting at 6:00 PM! Whet
her you’re a total beginner or just want to brush up your moves\, this i
s the perfect chance to get into the rhythm before the show. Come early\,
learn something new\, and hit the dance floor with confidence! \nAll guest
s under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian an
d supervised at all times while inside the building. Failure to provide pr
oper supervision may result in removal from the premises. We appreciate yo
ur cooperation in helping us maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for
  all guests.
