 od Center (formerly called Riverwest Food Pantry) – an organization focu
 sed on coming together around food to relieve hunger\, improve lives and g
 row community well-being. While their name has changed\, their mission is 
 still the same! Kinship empowers residents to create nourishment\, belongi
 ng and prosperity in low-income communities through the power of food.\nAc
 tivities\nYou and your child will assist shoppers with registration and gr
 ocery selection\, help shoppers carry bags\, serve snacks and share food w
 ith shoppers\, and clean up. Hands-on orientation and assignments given up
 on arrival.\nThe shelves at Kinship are constantly in need of restocking. 
 Please consider bringing a donation of non-perishable food items or hygien
 e products with you to help fill their shelves!  We will also be collecti
 ng reusable bags to donate to the pantry. Their goal is to eliminate as ma
 ny plastic shopping bags as possible. If you have extra reusable bags at h
 ome\, please consider bringing some with you to donate!\n\nImpact\nHelp to
  eliminate food insecurity in Milwaukee and dissolve barriers of division 
 as the community comes together at a common table. Your child will be imme
 rsed in an environment where they will help others and also be mentored in
  acts of dignity and grace by those very same people. Kinship Community Fo
 od Center embodies their motto: In a community of generosity everyone give
 s and everyone receives!\nWhen & Where\nTuesday\, Sept. 22 from 3:30-6 p.m
 .\nSt. Casimir’s Parish Hall\n924 E. Clarke St\, Milwaukee\nThe hall is 
 located on the basement level of the school building behind Our Lady of Di
 vine Providence Parish/St. Casimir. Volunteer entrance doors are on the we
 st side of the building in the alley between the church and the school. On
  Saturday mornings we ask that volunteers find street parking (on Clarke o
 r Weil) as the lot is reserved for shoppers.\n\nRegistration Information\n
 Participant Cap: 10 volunteers\n\nAge: Ages 6+ strongly recommended. If yo
 u have a child that is younger\, please reach out to Lizzy at lizzy@kicmke
 .org prior to signing up to discuss the possibility of bringing them. We a
 lso recommend at least one parent/guardian for every 2 children under the 
 age of 10 years.\n\nMaterials: Please dress casually with closed-toe shoes
  and keep all your valuables at home. Wear your Kids Impact Community shir
 t if you have one!\n\nCost: Free. Kinship Community Food Center does acce
 pt non-perishable food donations if your family would like to bring someth
