 \, experiment\, and take artistic risks to discover their own individual a
 pproach to artmaking. This class will take inspiration from our favorite
  Schlitz Audubon feature: Lake Michigan. We will explore the colors and te
 xtures of the Lake through painting and sculpting. We will also take furth
 er inspiration from local art legend Mary Nohl and her wonderous garden 
 of sculptures using treasures found on the beach.  \nHosted by the Natur
 e School’s Artist in Residence\, Abbey Finn\, this series of programs of
 fers Process Art experiences for children aged 4 to 6. Process Art allows 
 children to focus on the process of making art\, rather than the finished 
 product. It’s an open-ended\, unstructured\, and self-motivated way for 
 children to explore materials\, techniques\, and self-expression. The Gard
 ens Outdoor Classroom will serve as our Art Studio with various stations f
 or exploration of materials and processes.  \nThis is a drop-off program 
 designed for children ages 4-6.  \nMembers: $25 per child | Non-members:

 pre-historic cave painters to contemporary artists. We welcome beginning a
 nd experienced artists to join our community to start a new project or wor
 k on an unfinished project. Each month\, we will focus on a different art 
 medium or nature theme. \nPlease bring your own art materials. Some genera
 l supplies may be available as well as handouts related to the theme. \nDu
 ring our September program we’ll visit Lake Michigan to create some natu
 re sketches. Your host is Environmental Educator Shelly Rollins\, who has 
 a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. \nSchlitz Audubon’s clubs provide an ent
 ry point into a welcoming community of fellow learners and enthusiasts of 
 varying ages and experience levels. Free to all and beginner-friendly\, ea
 ch thematic club meets regularly\, with specific topics rotating through t
 he seasons—there’s always something new to discover! Throughout the y
