 ,” and it’s completely FREE. \n \nAt this event\, you’ll have the ch
 ance to step into our world at UW-Milwaukee Peck School of the Arts. No ma
 tter your level of experience\, you’ll fit right in as you experience wh
 at it’s like to be a student here. We offer majors in theatre performanc
 e (musical theatre or acting)\, theatre production\, theatre education\, a
 nd theatre practices. \n \nDuring “The Green Room and Beyond\,” we inv
 ite you to join our classes across all areas of study. You can choose to f
 ocus on performance or production for the day. You’ll also have ample op
 portunities to chat with our faculty members and get to know our current s
 tudents. \n \nIn the evening\, if you want the full theatrical experience\
 , you’re welcome to stay and observe rehearsals for a variety of product

 Convocation and how is it different than Commencement?\n\n\nThis special c
 eremony is an opportunity for Faculty & Staff in the Peck School of the Ar
 ts to recognize students who are graduating with bachelor and master’s d
 egrees. The event was established in response to student requests and prec
 edes the large UWM Commencement. We encourage you to attend both ceremonie
 s. \nThe convocation ceremony begins with a procession of graduating stude
 nts into the Bader Concert Hall. Students are seated on stage with the Dea
 n and Department Chairs. There will be an address with opening remarks and
  all graduates being recognized. Students will be called up by department\
 , with each department introduced by a selection of work representing thei
 r discipline. When your department is standing\, you will be called by nam
 e to walk across the stage and receive your stole (a piece of academic reg
 alia\, much like a long scarf\, that you can wear with your cap and gown t
 o the campus-wide Commencement ceremony). After the closing remarks and re
 cessional\, everyone crosses the lobby to Zelazo 280 for a dessert recepti
 on. \n\n\nIs the event in-person or virtual?\n\n\nPSOA Convocation is an i
 n-person event\, which will also be live-streamed for those who cannot att
 end in person. \n\n\nWho should participate?\n\n\nAll Peck School of the A
 rts students who have graduated or will be graduating by any of the dates 
 listed above along with friends and family of graduating students are welc
 ome to attend. \n\n\nDoes it cost anything?\n\n\nThe event is free. Ticket
 s are not required\, but we do appreciate that you RSVP so we can best pla
 n for your enjoyment. \n\n\nCan I invite my family and friends?\n\n\nDefin
 itely! You will receive an email invitation to the Peck School of the Arts
  Graduation Convocation in early April. Feel free to pass it along to frie
 nds to attend in-person or online. \n\n\nHow many guests may I bring?\n\n\
 nYou may bring as many guests as you like. Please RSVP with the total numb
 er of in-person attendees so we can plan accordingly. \n\n\nWhat should I 
 wear?\n\n\nThere is no dress code for this event. You are welcome to wear 
 your cap and gown but most students simply wear business attire.
