 \n\nAbout the Brooks Museum LeagueObjectives \n\n\n\nThe objectives of the
  League are to promote education in fine arts and to support the projects 
 and programs of the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art. \n\n\n\nThe League has a
  long history of educating the youth of the city. Early on\, League member
 s visited various schools with art prints\, later bringing the school chil
 dren to the Museum for art appreciation classes. These and other endeavors
  evolved into the Junior Mid-South Exhibition an annual juried show for st
 udents. In 1988\, the Junior Mid-South Exhibition became a multi-state reg
 ional affiliate of the National Scholastic Art and Writing Awards\, Inc.\,
  flourishing into today’s Mid-South Scholastic Art Awards.
