 DJ Brilli known as Lola Nychole is a multi-faceted creative that embodies 
 an open format style. She showcases music in a way that allows her to use 
 her creative direction skills to direct a crowd sonically. Brilli enjoys t
 ranslating sonic feelings with her controller to influence the crowd to da
 nce\, let loose and feel confident through smooth transitions and her care
 fully curated style. \nLola is a well rounded creative and visual artist w
 ho also takes pride in using her artistic abilities to heal her community.
  In 2025\, she hosted “Black Art & Black Medicine” to provide artist t
 he tools to align their creative process with a spiritual process. As a ye
 ar two public tour docent at Brooks Museum\, she values art in all forms a
 nd strives to grow her knowledge through fashion design\, sonic healing\, 
 and creative direction. \nLana J. is a Memphis native\, coming from a city
  known for its soulful music and vibrant culture. At just 13 years old\, s
 he was accepted into the incomparable Stax Music Academy\, where she honed
  her skills in songwriting\, live performances\, production\, and recordin
 g. Growing up in a church-oriented environment\, Lana J. found her passion
  for music through singing in her hometown church and participating in the
  school choir. She later joined an all-female a cappella group called “K
 ey of She\,” which provided her with opportunities to arrange music\, tr
 avel\, and perform. \nAfter graduating from Loyola University New Orleans 
 with a degree in Popular and Commercial Music\, Lana J. began making her m
 ark in the music industry. Her first studio recording collaboration was on
  the upbeat track “Rendezvous” by D-Bibbs ft. Lana J. This was followe
 d by her debut single “Warning\,” which showcased her unique style and
  artistry. In April 2022\, Lana J. released her debut project titled “Br
 eathe\,” a soothing and soulful reminder to take a moment for self-care 
 a reenforced theme within her journey as an artist and human\, shedding li
 ght on mental health awareness and self discovery. \nShe also collaborated
  with classmate and producer/artsit Soto on the funky and psychedelic trac
 k “SexFruit\,” which originated from her time at Loyola University. As
  Lana J.’s career progressed\, she delved deeper into her thoughts and a
 spirations in the studio\, exploring vocal production\, songwriting\, and 
 recording techniques. This year marks the beginning of a creative renaissa
 nce for Lana J. as she prepares to release her next project\, including th
 e single “Take it Slow” and an EP scheduled for Summer 2024. Exciting

 ta patches developed by the open sources community surrounding the Organel

 nd”. \n\nABOUT KEENAN SHOTWELL:\n\nKeenan Shotwell is a Memphis native k

 h Jackson Studios during the early 90s. He graduated from Whitehaven High 
 School in 1993\, then mastered the piano and organ as a young adult while 
 attending the University of Memphis. The two-time Verizon Wireless How Swe
 et the Sound winner has mastered evolution within the art of music. His im
 peccable gift for the piano and organ has made way for his renowned reputa
 tion as the master of his abilities. Shotwell has orchestrated and played 
 for The Herbie Hancock Tribute\, A Night with Joe Sample\, the MLK50 Tribu
 te\, the National Civil Rights Museum Freedom Awards\, and shared the stag
 e with many national artists such as Melba Moore\, Kirk Whalum\, and Dee D
 ee Bridgewater. Keenan has also taken his talent to the movie screen by ar
 ranging and performing piano for the 2010 film\, The Grace Card. He is als

  HERE\n\nIn May 2026\, Memphis native Kyra Sims became the first black mus
 ician to perform on all seven continents. She explored her sixth continent
 \, Antarctica\, with her horn\, Otto\, and a field recorder in hand. Her r
 esulting piece\, Otto in Antarctica\, is an experiential musical journey t
 hrough the most mysterious region of the world. Join Kyra as she recounts 
 her adventures through the mediums of French horn\, video\, field recordin
 gs\, spoken word\, and more. \n\nKYRA SIMS\nKyra Sims is a collaborative F
 rench Hornist\, writer\, and interdisciplinary performance artist residing
  in New York City. She has worked with artists and ensembles such as Rosal
 ía\, Lizzo\, Jon Batiste\, Earth\, Wind & Fire\, The Roots\, Carole King\
 , Alarm Will Sound\, International Contemporary Ensemble\, Roomful of Teet
 h\, Frank Ocean\, and My Brightest Diamond. Kyra appeared as a backing mus
 ician in Taylor Mac’s Pulitzer finalist work A 24-Decade History of Popu
 lar Music\, the critically acclaimed pop opera (and subsequent film adapta
 tion) Now I’m Fine\, and the internationally renowned podcast Welcome to
  Night Vale. She has also made television appearances on The Tonight Show 
 Starring Jimmy Fallon\, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert\, and Mozart in
  the Jungle.\nKyra has worked as a musician both on Broadway and Off\, ori
 ginating chairs at Tony-Nominated Broadway show Illinoise\, Drama Desk-Nom
 inated shows Carmen Jones\, Superhero\, and Soft Power\, and the Emmy-Nomi
 nated online show Ratatouille: A Tik Tok Musical.\nIn January 2026 Kyra tr
 aveled to Antarctica as a Polar STEAM fellow\, composing and gathering fie
 ld recordings alongside microbiologists\, geologists\, and geochemists. He
 r piece inspired by the voyage premiered in Spring 2026 in Australia\, her
  seventh continent. This accomplishment makes her the first Black musician
  to perform on all seven continents.\nRecording credits include Noname’s
  Sundial\, Zola Jesus’ Taiga\, Disparition’s Faite\, original cast rec
 ordings for Illinoise\, Superhero\, and Grammy-nominated Soft Power\, and 
 films such as the well-received documentary Chèche Lavi\, and Here and No
 w starring Sarah Jessica Parker.\n\nAs a theatre maker\, Kyra worked for a
  decade as an Ensemble member of The New York Neo-Futurists\, where she wr
 ote\, directed\, and premiered nearly 200 short theatrical works based on 
 her lived experiences and the world around her. Her work with the company 
 earned her a nomination for a New York Innovative Theatre Award for Outsta
 nding Sound Design. She now works independently as an electronic performan
 ce artist\, blending French horn with vocals\, electronics\, and spoken wo
 rd\, blending slice-of-life themes with hopeful Afrofuturism.

 nThe Ted Ludwig trio returns to the Green Room stage for the 2026 Modern J
 azz Masters series\, featuring bass great Rodney Jordan! \n\nRODNEY JORDAN
 \nRodney Jordan is a native of Memphis\, Tennessee where he grew up playin
 g the bass in church and with his high school orchestra. He later studied 
 music with Dr. London Branch\, Alvin Fielder\, and Andy Hardwick at Jackso
 n State University in Jackson\, Mississippi. During his college years\, Jo
 rdan joined the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra where he served as Assistan
 t Principal Bassist. After graduating\, he became Chair of the String Depa
 rtment at the Dougherty County Public School and served as Principal Bassi
 st with the Albany Symphony Orchestra in Albany\, GA. Teaching has always 
 been an important part of Mr. Jordan’s life and career. In addition to t
 eaching strings in Dougherty County\, he also taught in the DeKalb County 
 School Systems.\nDuring his years in Georgia\, Jordan served as a bass ins
 tructor at Darton College (part of the University System of Georgia) in Al
 bany and at Georgia State University in Atlanta. While living in Atlanta\,
  Jordan became one of the city’s most active jazz bassists\, performing 
 and recording with some of America’s finest jazz musicians\, including M
 arcus Printup\, Mulgrew Miller\, James Williams\, Milt Jackson\, George Co
 leman\, and Russell Gunn. He joined the faculty in the School of Music at 
 Florida State University in Tallahassee\, FL in 2001 where he now holds a 
 rank of Associate Professor of Jazz Studies. Jordan teaches jazz bass\, ja
 zz combo playing\, music education classes\, and a jazz styles class.\n\nJ
 ordan joined the Marcus Roberts Trio in 2009. It was evident during that f
 irst official performance of the newly-formed trio at the prestigious Wigm
 ore Hall in London that Jordan thoroughly understood Roberts’ unique tri
 o conception. Rodney Jordan is one of the most versatile jazz bassists on 
 the scene today. His tone is rich and soulful when he plays hauntingly bea
 utiful phrases with the bow. Just as readily\, he plays fast virtuosic pas
 sages with apparent effortless skill. Jordan’s knowledge of harmony from
  his classical bass training combined with the relentless feeling of swing
  in his playing is a perfect fit for the powerful melodic\, blues-based\, 
 syncopated improvisational sound of the Marcus Roberts Trio.

 ion of musicians. As the founder and CEO of the Memphis Jazz Workshop\, Le
 e has become a leading force in jazz education throughout the Mid-South\, 
 creating opportunities for young artists to develop their musical talents

  expressive touch and deep understanding of the jazz tradition\, Lee’s p
 erformances draw from bebop\, blues\, gospel\, and modern jazz influences.
