DESCRIPTION:Barony of Jararvellir- SCA\nGreetings all!\n\nWe will be holdi
 ng Youth Boffer combat practice at the UW Stock Pavilion\; directions can 
 be found at [http://www.jararvellir.org/meeting-sites/](http://www.jararve
 llir.org/meeting-sites/).\n\nThe practice will start at 1:00 to let the ki
 ds take part in archery for a while before we start boffers. We can go as 
 late as 4 if the kids want to keep going.\n\nYouth Boffer Combat is open t
 o any youths 6-17 years old who have a parent present and have the necessa
 ry gear. Youth Boffer Combat participants do not have to have prior experi
 ence.\n\nA parent or guardian MUST sign a waiver and receive brief (10-15 
 minute) orientation before the youth can take part. We will be holding the
  orientation starting at 1:00 for each practice\, and again later if neede
 d.\n\nYouth fighters from 6-9 years old must also have a parent present at
  the practice field at all times\; all parents must remain somewhere on si

 ave a wide variety of loaner gear and weapons to try out\, but it would be
  very helpful for children have their own groin protection as appropriate 
 for their age group. If you have it\, head protection (a hockey helmet or 
 equivalent) would also be helpful - we have a big bag of helmets but we do
 n't always have one that will fit a new fighter. Participants may need to
