rock ‘n’ roll for over a decade.  Daniel Haschke\, saxophonist and me
mber of both groups\, noticed how both projects took an innovative approac
h to arranging music and decided there was something special to be explore
 d.  “I’ve always been inspired by unique musical collaborations\,”
Haschke reflects\, “especially when popular artists work with big orches
tras.  I realized that all of the pieces were in place for me and my band
mates to craft a truly one-of-a-kind experience.”The full WURKestra pres

 Madison\, WI in 2016.  Inspired by Umphrey’s McGee\, Snarky Puppy\, Let
tuce\, Phish and many others\, their innovative original songs and ambitio
us interpretations of popular covers offer an impressive blend of jazz fus
ion\, prog rock\, jam rock and more\, all with the consistent underlying g
rooves of funk.  The DB Orchestra\, led by Andy Kerber\, combines the nua

the flair of great jazz ensembles of yesteryear.  With a roster of nearl
 y 20 musicians\, the hot horns\, smooth saxes\, and driving drums of the D
B Orchestra will keep your head humming and toes tapping long after the sh

ter from the Afterlife— a multimedia event bringing together film\, live
poetry\, music\, orchestral accompaniment\, and intimate storytelling in
a celebration of one of the most beloved voices of a generation. \n\n\n\nA
t the heart of each evening is Love Letter from the Afterlife\, a stunnin
 g film capturing Andrea Gibson’s final live performance: a brilliant\, b
rave\, tender\, and raucous poetry set recorded at Denver’s Paramount Th
eatre in 2024. The film was produced by the team behind the Oscar-nominate
d documentary\, Come See Me in the Good Light. \n\n\n\nThroughout the eve
nt\, The Goosebumps Orchestra will perform Blake Neely’s original score
live alongside Gibson’s filmed performance\, creating a deeply immersive
experience that expands the poetry beyond the screen. Guest artists will
join throughout the night\, coupled with film and performances that  will
transform each stop into a living\, breathing composition and a singular
celebration of Gibson’s work. Threading the night together is Megan Fall
ey—Andrea’s wife\, fellow poet\, who will share intimate stories of lo
 ve\, collaboration\, humor\, and artistic kinship. Through Falley’s narr
ation\, audiences will discover the relationships and moments of serendipi
ty connecting each guest artist to Andrea’s life and enduring legacy. \n
 \n\n\nPart concert\, part cinema\, part communal celebration\, the Love L
etter from the Afterlife tour invites audiences to experience Andrea Gibs
on’s work the way it has always been meant to be experienced: together.
\n\n\n\nWhen I chose to name the show Love Letter from the Afterlife\, I d
idn’t realize how fully I was describing what was about to happen. At Re
d Rocks\, ten thousand of us arrived believing we had come to remember And
rea. We left feeling we had heard from them directly. Nothing can replace
being in a room with Andrea. But for anyone who never had that good fortun
e\, I hope this tour offers something I didn’t know was possible: the fe
eling that Andrea is still speaking\, and speaking directly to you\,” sa
 id Falley.

best songs\, records\, and bands transport you back to the first moment y
ou heard them each and every time they play. \n\n\n\nWhether you caught a
house party gig after Better Than Ezra formed in 1988 at Louisiana State U
niversity\, heard “Good” on the radio once it hit #1 during 1995\, bec
ame a fan following Taylor Swift’s famous cover of “Breathless” in 2
010\, or saw them headlining sheds in 2018\, you most likely never forgot
that initial introduction to the New Orleans quartet founded by Kevin Grif
fin [lead vocals\, guitar\, piano] and Tom Drummond [bass\, backing vocals
 ]. \n\n\n\nThose hummable melodies\, unshakable guitar riffs\, and confess
ional lyrics quietly cemented the group as an enduring force in rock music
. How many acts can boast being the inspiration of a classic Saturday Nig
ht Live skit? \n\n\n\nVery few. \n\n\n\nSpeaking of incredible accomplish
ments\, they occupy rarified air with spots on Billboard’s “100 Grea
test Alternative Songs of All Time” and “100 Greatest Alternative Ar
tists of All Time.” \n\n\n\nThe story of Better Than Ezra began before t
he nineties explosion\, they remain so often associated with\, ever even h
appened. Griffin and Drummond comprised the core of the band at its onset
as they hit the road and won over one fan at a time beginning in 1989. Thi
s fan base would go on to be known as “Ezralites” by the time the firs
t pressing of Deluxelanded independently in 1993. As the audience dramati
cally grew\, Elektra signed the boys in 1995 and officially released Delu
xe. A fixture on radio and MTV\, “Good” captured #1 on the Hot Modern
Rock Tracks Chart and went multi-platinum. 1996’s Friction\, Baby yie
lded definitive anthems such as “Desperately Wanting” and “King Of N
ew Orleans.” A string of fan favorite albums followed\, including How D
oes Your Garden Grow? [1998] and Closer [2001]. \n\n\n\n2005’s Befor
e The Robots represented another creative high. Its lead single “A Life
time” peaked in the Top 15 of the Billboard Adult Top 40 chart as “J
uicy” went on to famously soundtrack a Desperate Housewives campaign.
Paper Empire followed in 2009 and then the band released their album\,
All Together Now\, in 2014. Produced by Tony Hoffer [M83\, Beck\,] it s
pawned the hit “Crazy Lucky\,” which notched 10 million-plus streams.
Most recently in 2024\, the band released their long anticipated tenth stu
dio album\, Super Magick. \n\n\n\nAt the same time\, their touring presen
ce burgeoned year after year as Better Than Ezra continue to sell out amph
itheaters and arenas worldwide. A force of nature on stage\, the group con
sistently deliver on tour as countless fans sing along to every word night
ly. Their gigs further uphold a growing legend. \n\n\n\nOutside of Better
Than Ezra\, Griffin established himself as a sought-after hitmaking songwr
iter\, having songs recorded by the likes of Taylor Swift and Train. He al
so penned #1 hits for Howie Day and Sugarland in addition to writing with
The Struts and Moon Taxi. In 2015\, Griffin co-founded the Pilgrimage Mus
ic & Cultural Festival\, which counts Justin Timberlake among others as pa
rtners. \n\n\n\nAlong the way\, they launched the Better Than Ezra Founda
tion (www.BTEFoundation.org) in order to support their hometown. Chaired b
y Drummond\, its charity endeavors span coastal restoration projects\, aft
er school programs for underprivileged kids\, and more. Since 2008\, it ha
s raised over $1.7 million for causes throughout greater New Orleans. \n\n
\n\nCelebrating 25 years of Deluxe in 2018\, the guys reissued the recor
d on double vinyl. Detailing the release\, Forbes summed up the group’

non-profit initiative dedicated to providing essential heating and coolin
g services to thousands of elderly\, disabled individuals\, veterans\, and
working families with young children in crisis. Through the generous supp
 ort of the public\, private sectors\, businesses\, and individuals\, KWW/C
F offers preventative services and financial assistance to prevent energy-
related emergencies. The fund serves as a crucial safety net\, ensuring th
at those most in need can remain safely in their homes. Flannel Fest has r
aised over $225\,000 for the Keep WI Warm/Cool Fund thanks to generous spo

or helping us keep our Wisconsin neighbors in need safely in their homes!
\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLINEUP:\n\n\n\nDawesFor the first time in almost a decade\
, brothers Taylor and Griffin Goldsmith grace the cover of a Dawes record.
It’s just the two of them this time\, and as such\, Oh Brother marks a
distinctive new chapter for the California rock band — one that is both
introspective and accessible\, all while maintaining their beloved sense o
f sincerity. Oh Brother steers Dawes decidedly forward\, honoring 15 years
of Taylor and Griffin’s musical relationship\, as well as the next era
of their band. Each of the nine songs began with just Taylor on guitar and
vocals and Griffin on drums. They initially tracked each one live togethe
r\, before adding in additional instrumentation and collaborating with tou
ring guitarist Trevor Menear in the studio. Additionally\, Oh Brother is t
he first record the brothers have co-produced\, working alongside longtime
friend Mike Viola. At this point in the Goldsmith’s career\, Dawes has
cemented itself as one of the most earnest\, no-bullshit musical acts out
there. They’re a band that can move seamlessly between folk rock\, piano
ballads\, and sprawling jams while maintaining both an immediately recogn
izable sound and a freedom from expectations. Even as the Goldsmith brothe
rs navigates new chapters in their personal and professional lives\, Oh Br
other shows how they remain creative\, ambitious\, and inspired — what i
t means to be lifers in a band together. \n\n\n\nThe Mascot TheoryThe Masc
ot Theory is a Wisconsin-based Americana-Rock band known for emotionally h
onest songwriting\, soaring harmonies\, and a sound that moves fluidly bet
ween introspective folk-rock and full-throttle\, heartland anthems. Center
ed around the reflective songwriting of vocalist/guitarist Erik Kjelland a
nd brought vividly to life by the dynamic interplay of Cory Swadley (lead
guitar)\, Nick Fry (bass)\, and Paul Metz (drums)\, the band creates music
that feels both deeply personal and universally resonant. Their chemistry
fuels a live energy that’s intimate\, explosive\, and always evolving.
Whether on stage or in the studio\, The Mascot Theory crafts songs anchore
d in melody\, driven by heart\, and wide open to the unknown. Their newest
album\, Cosmic Hit And Run\, was written in the shadow of loss and mortal
ity. In the midst of grieving his father’s passing\, Kjelland was diagno
sed with a rare and potentially fatal brain condition that required invasi
ve surgery. Unsure what would remain on the other side—memory\, speech\,
music itself—he wrote through the fear\, the waiting\, and the aftermat
 h. The result is a deeply cinematic collection of songs shaped by survival
\, perspective\, and the fragile beauty of still being here. \n\n\n\nBeth
Kille BandAt first glance\, you may not know what to make of them. The far
 m boy\, the intellectual\, the ex-Marine\, all backing up a wild-haired\,
acrobat. But then\, the show begins\, and you know you’re about to be wr
apped in the arms of a cohesive unit\, bonded in the kinship of music. The
four members of the Beth Kille Band – Michael Mood (bass\, backing voca
ls)\, Tony Kille (drums)\, Michael Tully (guitar\, backing vocals) and Kil
le herself (guitar\, mandolin\, vocals) – have amassed some impressive a
ccolades. In addition to the numerous songwriting recognitions\, Kille gra
bbed one of her 30 Madison Area Music Association (MAMA) Awards when she w
as named “Artist of the Year” in 2010 and Tully snagged the highly-com
petitive “Guitarist of the Year” Award in 2014. Their style can best b
e described as Americana-Rock but these dynamic performers can play everyt
hing from folk to funk to in-your-face rock. \n\n\n\nTAE & The Neighborly
 (DUO)Tae & The Neighborly\, a Wisconsin based Soul-pop R&B group\, found t
hemselves playing music together in a very unconventional way. They were a
ll neighbors\, each one living alone on one floor of a five-story flat. Ca
ke baking is a shared passion of the five member group\, but in the sugar
shortages early in the 2020 pandemic\, they found themselves so continuall
y knocking on each other’s doors asking for a single cup of sugar that a
group decision was made to all move in together and share cake-baking res
ources. And since everyone knows all good rhythms begin in the kitchen\, i
t wasn’t before long that the group began to write and perform together
across the nation. Critics hail the group as “having more kick than a
bagged-up mule” (Rotary Times)  and their live show “…going down sm
oother than a can of [beans] warmed on the campfire” (Cowboy Gazette). A
ll in all\, if you are looking for a dense show that will give you more in
spiration fuel for self lovin’\, world changin’\, and consideration ha
vin’ meet them where the music is made to be shared.
