ebrate 50 years of member-centered care with the GHC-SCW Legacy Trail Adve
nture! This outdoor scavenger hunt features rock-like cache containers hid
den across Dane County and surrounding areas. Each cache represents a GHC-
SCW milestone year from 1976 to 2026. \nFrom May 5 through September 29\,
 2026\, we’re launching the GHC-SCW Legacy Trail\, a community-wide scave
nger hunt across Dane County featuring hidden Legacy Trail caches tied to
milestones from our 50-year history. Participants can explore local parks
and businesses\, earn prizes and help direct more than $25\,000 in donati
ons to local nonprofit organizations. \n \n\nGHC-SCW Legacy Trail – You
r Adventure to Better Health Starts Here \nJoin the GHC-SCW 50th Anniversa
ry Legacy Trail Adventure – Group Health Cooperative of South Central
Wisconsin \n\nHow Can I Participate?  \nEveryone (except for the GHC-
SCW staff who know where the caches are hidden\, of course!) \nWhat You
 ’ll Need:   \n\nA smartphone or GPS-enabled device   \n\n\nA m
ap app such as Google Maps or Apple Maps  \n\n\nComfortable walking shoe
s and awareness of your surroundings  \n\nInspired by the popular activ
ity of geocaching\, each Legacy Trail cache is hidden at a specific set of
coordinates. Each cache listing on the Legacy Trail Adventure websit
e includes GPS coordinates that guide you to their exact location.
On your first time accessing the website\, you will be prompted to creat
e an account. In this account\, you can find the coordinates for each ca
che\, view how close you are to earning prizes and learn more about GHC-SC
W’s history. \nHow to Navigate to a Cache Location:   \n\nSel
ect a cache to discover on our website: explore.ghcscw.com. \nHead to th
e featured property address for your selected cache.  \nTap Find Cache
or paste the coordinates into your phone’s map (Google Maps or Appl
e Maps)\, follow the directions and start searching. All caches look the s
ame\, so keep an eye out! \nFound it? Open the bottom\, scan the QR code
or enter the code on the explore.ghcscw.com website. Be sure to create a
n account to track your progress and unlock prizes. \nClose the cache and
place it back exactly as you found it so others can join in on the fun.
\n\nYour progress and prize eligibility will update automatically online
.    \nEarn Prizes:  \nYou can earn prizes by finding each of the
caches! After you register a cache online\, you will be able to see y
our progress towards different prize tiers. The more caches you find\, t
he more prizes you earn!   \n The Legacy Trail offers several ways to
participate and win\, including:  \n\nHelp Give Back: As part of the
experience\, every player will have the opportunity to vote and help donat
e over $25\,000 to nonprofit organizations in our community. \n\n\nWeek
ly Drawings: One winner each week will receive a $100 valued prize item.
Entries are based on how many caches each player finds — the more they
find\, the more entries they earn. \n\n\nCache Prizes: Each time a playe
r finds and registers a new cache\, they are automatically entered into th
at cache’s $100 valued prize drawing\, announced at the end of the eve
nt. Players are entered into every cache drawing they unlock\, increasing
their chances of winning. In addition\, the first 25 players to find eac
h cache will have the opportunity to select a limited-edition 50th anniver
sary commemorative coin available inside the container. \n\n\nEarn Cache
Rewards: Some rewards unlock automatically as a player finds and register
s caches. Find 5\, 25 or 50 caches and they can unlock prizes such as leat
her carabiners\, tote bags or insulated water bottles.  \n\n\nGrand Pr
ize Drawing: One winner will receive a $1\,000 grand prize. Entries are b
ased on total caches found throughout the event — the more caches a play
er discovers\, the more entries they earn and the better their chances of
winning. \n\nThis fun-filled adventure isn’t just about celebrating
a milestone\; it’s about giving back to the community. Each cache w
ill be placed at a variety of meaningful locations\, including longtime co
mmunity partners\, local businesses and outdoor spaces that promote health
and well-being. Featured locations will include iconic destinations such
as Henry Vilas Zoo\, Schuster’s Farm\, Vitense Golfland and more.
\nTo ensure accessibility\, GHC-SCW has also created virtual cache options
for those who are not able to visit each location in person\, allowing mo
re people to participate in the experience.  To view the virtual cache
s\, visit explore.ghcscw.com and click Find Caches. Select the one
you’d like to “find.” Each cache page will include a link to the
virtual option beneath the physical GPS coordinates.  \nImportant Remin
ders: \n\nYou will not need to use the official Geocaching® website
or app   \n\n\nThis campaign is an independent geocache-style acti
vity created by GHC-SCW   \n\n\nPlease do not share registration code
s online or with others   \n\n\nAlways follow posted rules\, laws
and property guidelines   \n\nReady to start the adventure? Visit

work on building a more inclusive running community. \nNO RUNNER LEFT BEHI
ND\nOur goal is to create a welcoming environment for every runner\, no ma
tter the pace. We aim to provide Pace Runners at every Sunday run and Budd
y Runners at most club runs throughout the week \n\n\n\nEvery Sunday we ha
 ve designated pace groups (7\, 7:30\, 8\, 8:30\, 9\, 9:30\, 10\, 10:30\, 1
1\, 12) to run the middle route.\nBuddy Runners represent our NO RUNNER LE
FT BEHIND initiative. While we often have designated Buddy Runners to make
sure everyone has someone to run with\, we invite our runners to always b
e on the lookout for those in their group who may need a slower pace or a
word of encouragements – our biggest asset are the kind runners in the c
lub.\nAdditionally\, we need everyone’s help to achieve our goal of NO R
UNNER LEFT BEHIND. This initiative will help guide our actions within the
MSRC as we build a more inclusive running environment.\n\n\n\nROUTES\nWe o
ffer 3 routes at the Sunday run: A short route (3-4 miles)\, middle route
 (6-7 mile)\, and long route (12-13 mile)

ND\nOur goal is to create a welcoming environment for every runner\, no ma

y Runners at most club runs throughout the week \n\n\n\nEvery Sunday we ha
 ve designated pace groups (7\, 7:30\, 8\, 8:30\, 9\, 9:30\, 10\, 10:30\, 1

DESCRIPTION:On\, Wisconsin! Bicycle Touring Group\n**Introduction:** Celeb
rating our 11th season\, join us for another bike camping trip—this time
back to Northeast Wisconsin to explore greater Green Bay\, Lake Winnebago
\, and Lake Michigan! With multiple towns and villages and a mix of paved
and crushed limestone trails\, you'll likely agree that this tour has some
thing for you!\n\nOn the first day\, we will meander through historic De P
ere via bike paths\, including the Fox River State Trail\, before heading
to our first overnight stay at High Cliff State Park on Lake Winnebago. On
day two\, we will ride through some wildlife refuge areas and small villa
ges and towns leading up to the port cities of Manitowoc and Two Rivers on
the Mariners Trail\, before reaching our destination at the beautiful and
underrated Point Beach State Forest. On the final day\, we head to the De
vil's Rivers State Trail\, which is\, in my opinion\, one of the best-cond
ition crushed limestone trails in the state\, through more quaint villages
\, and explore the Maribell Caves near the end of the trail before heading
on some rolling country roads back to the start.\n\n*We hope to see you t
 here!*\n\n**Cost:** 55 (5 people)\, 65 (3-4 people). *Firewood and food ar
 e extra.*\n\n**Skill level:** Beginner-Intermediate.\n\n**Length:** Day 1:
  31± mi\, \\*\\*Day 2: 58± mi\, Day 3: 47± mi (137± mi. total). Each d
ay may be a little shorter or longer\, depending on the number of optional
rest stops.\n\n\\*Note: This is a relatively flat route\, so while the mi
leage may seem high on day 2\, riding should be pretty easy.\n\n**Terrain:
 ** Approx. 70% paved road\, 15% paved trail\, 15% crushed limestone trail.
Mostly flat trails to mild rolling hills with a 6% max grade. 3 out of 10
elevation difficulty.\n\n**Parking:** De Pere WisDOT Park & Ride\n\n**Tim

 ter\, modern bathroom\, hiking trails\n\n**Pre-ride tips:** Organize and p
ack your gear several days in advance\, tune up your bike if necessary\, a
nd take your packed bike for a short ride around the block. Does it feel b
alanced? These few steps will help you feel more confident on the morning
of departure.\nA highly recommended video for a Lightweight Bike Touring S

t before reserving to ensure we can provide adequate service and that goal
s align. ⚡\n\nHelmets\, lights\, proper nutrition\, and hydration are al
l encouraged. A minimum of two 16 oz. bottles of water and two energy bars
daily are good starting points. Participants should be prepared to ride t
he entire route at their own pace.\\* Please inform the leader if you aban
