 ikes will be cancelled in severe weather – call the center (816-513-8960
 ) for confirmation. Please dress appropriately for the weather of the day 
 (i.e. raingear\, layers of clothing for cold weather\, sunscreen and hats 
 for warm weather\, insect repellent\, closed-toed shoes or boots). \nThe h
 ike begins at 10:30 AM.  Please gather outside the main doors of Lakeside
  Nature Center\, 4701 E Gregory Blvd\, Kansas City\, MO 64132.  There the
  naturalist will meet hikers\, outline the plans for the day and then lead
  the group on the trail. \nThe guided walk/hike\, which focuses on habitat
 s around the Center\, typically occurs on the upper Fox Hollow trail which
  is primarily covered with rock and accessible for most participants.  Ho
 wever\, depending on the Naturalist and topic of the hike\, another part o
 f the Fox Hollow Trail might also be incorporated\, which may be a little

DESCRIPTION:All scheduled hikes are open to the public. There is no fee. H
 ikes will be cancelled in severe weather – call the center (816-513-8960
 ) for confirmation. Please dress appropriately for the weather of the day 
 (i.e. raingear\, layers of clothing for cold weather\, sunscreen and hats 
 for warm weather\, insect repellent\, closed-toed shoes or boots). \nThe h
 ike begins at 10:30 AM.  Please gather outside the main doors of Lakeside
  Nature Center\, 4701 E Gregory Blvd\, Kansas City\, MO 64132.  There the
  naturalist will meet hikers\, outline the plans for the day and then lead
  the group on the trail. \nThe guided walk/hike\, which focuses on habitat
 s around the Center\, typically occurs on the upper Fox Hollow trail which
  is primarily covered with rock and accessible for most participants.  Ho
 wever\, depending on the Naturalist and topic of the hike\, another part o
 f the Fox Hollow Trail might also be incorporated\, which may be a little 
 more challenging for some hikers. \nIf you have any questions\, please co
