DESCRIPTION:The Latino Civic Association (LCA) is happy to offer this grou
 p hike as part of our programming for Hispanic Heritage Month 2026!\nWheth
 er you are a seasoned outdoor enthusiast\, or interested in taking your ve
 ry first hike and becoming more outdoorsy\, this event is for you! We will
  move at a slow pace\, and have a “no-drop” policy (which means no one
  will be left behind\, even if the front of the group is moving more quick
 ly).\nThe hike will be led by longtime Ithaca residents and experienced hi
 kers\, Ben Ortiz (an LCA Board member) and Gladira Velázquez.\nThere are 
 20 slots available\; please complete the form below to reserve your slot. 
 It will be a first-come\, first-served basis. \nMore info about the hike:\
 n-This will be a beginner-friendly hike.\n-We will do a 2 mile route at th
 e Six Mile Creek.\n-The starting/ parking location is the Mulholland Wildf
 lower Preserve (501 Giles St.).\n-We will gather at the parking lot betwee
 n 2pm-2:30pm\, then hike until ~5pm or so.\n-Please wear comfortable shoes
  that you don’t mind getting dirty (hiking boots or trail runners work b
 est). Slip-on sandals\, slides\, and flip-flops are not ideal because they
  do not secure your heels.\n-Dress for the weather! Check weather reports 
 and be sure to bring an extra layer.\n-Please bring water. A snack is also
  a good thing to bring.\n-It’s nice\, but not necessary to have: sunglas
 ses\, a charged phone\, walking stick or trekking poles\, camera\, umbrell
