W e’ve come a long way since the dark days of COVID\, and I am so grateful for your generosity\, your presence\, and your partnership in our mission of Glorifying God\, Serving Our Neighbors\, and Transforming Our City. As many of you know\, Episcopal clergy are encouraged to take a sabbatical e very five years for rest and renewal. My last sabbatical was in 2012 as yo ur Senior Associate\, and while I had planned one in 2020\, saying yes to serving with you came first. I’m now ready for a season of rest. After w orship on Sunday\, November 9\, I will step away from the Cathedral for th ree months to spend time in Asia and India\, California\, and the Caribbea n (notice a sunny pattern?).
