 o Creative Writing \nWhat makes a poem sing and sigh? What makes fiction c
 aptivating? What gives creative nonfiction its power? And how does one get
  started? \nIf you’re interested in writing but don’t know where to be
 gin\, this six-week course is a great place to take your first steps. \nIn
  this holistic introduction to creative writing\, students will learn the 
 fundamentals of poetry\, fiction\, and creative nonfiction through convers
 ations about craft\, readings of contemporary and classic texts\, and in-c
 lass writing exercises designed to foster play\, curiosity\, and creativit
 y. Participants will also have the opportunity to submit work for feedback
  from both their fellow writers and the instructor in a supportive worksho
 p environment. \nBy the end of the course\, participants will leave with a
  portfolio of work spanning poetry\, fiction\, and creative nonfiction\, a
  glossary of craft terms and concepts generated throughout the class\, and
  written feedback from the instructor on one to three pieces of their choo
 sing.
