DESCRIPTION:Integrated Single-Cell Functional Discovery with Beacon® —
From Antibody Discovery to TCR Functional Screening\nEVENT FLYER \nJoin us
for a focused seminar to learn how researchers can perform single-cell\,
 real-time analysis of B and T cells to identify high-affinity antibodies\,
characterize TCR specificity\, and accelerate candidate selection with di
rect functional readouts. The session will cover workflows for Antibody Di
scovery and T Cell Profiling applications\; including cytotoxicity\, cell
surface and cytokine profiling\, cell–cell interaction assays\, and clon
e recovery for downstream sequencing and engineering. \nThe Beacon® platf
orm enables researchers to sort and analyze tens of thousands of live cell
s with a variety of functional assays over time. Cell sorting is accomplis
hed with light\, preserving cell health and allowing for the creation of c
omplex co-cultures. Analysis is done in single-cell microfluidic chambers\
, unlocking the ability to measure complex biology at single cell resoluti
on. Assays are performed on live cells\, and data is captured over-time to
provide dynamic and longitudinal insights. Finally\, single cells are col
lected post-assay for scale-up or downstream molecular analysis. These int
egrated capabilities have accelerated development of therapeutics\, diagno
stics\, and reagents\; and has identified novel biomarkers for complex bio
logics. Attendees will leave the seminar understanding: \n\nThe Beacon Pla
tform’s Technical Capabilities and Applications\nAntibody Discovery & BC
R/TCR Repertoire Analysis – Sequencing B cells to develop antibodies aga
inst known and novel /unknown antigens in one day\nCell-Cell Interaction A
 nalysis – Characterizing T cell cytotoxicity\, cytokine secretion\, cell
surface protein expression\, and cell motility in live cell co-cultures t
o understand functionality of CARs/TCRs/BiTEs\nFunctional Biology + Spatia
l Biology – A case study interrogating functional TCRs in a patient tumo
r and spatially mapping T cell receptors to understand cancer  pathology\
 n\nSpeakers:\nJoseph Valdez\, Ph.D. | Technical Sales Manager\nDr. Valdez
accelerates researchers’ goals by translating their operations onto the
Beacon. Dr. Valdez trained in molecular and cellular analysis in the field
of oncology and holds deep experience in cutting-edge analytical methods
 \nAmanda M. Dossat\, Ph.D. | Field Applications Scientist\nDr. Dossat brin
gs a strong background in molecular biology and high-content confocal imag
ing. Dr. Dossat has applied these tools across neuroscience\,  immunology
 \, oncology\, and multi-omics research domains. \n  \n/// REGISTER HERE /

DESCRIPTION:Join us for this educational event around Semi-Permeable Capsu
le Technology and how the UF ICBR Gene Expression and Genotyping Core (GE)
can assist with projects for metagenomics\, environmental microbial\, or
translational. \nRecent advances in single-cell assays and sequencing work
flows have increased the demand for higher-throughput methods that improve
sensitivity while maintaining accuracy and resolution in complex biologic
al samples. Although plate-based approaches and droplet microfluidics enab
le scalable single-cell compartmentalization\, they remain limited by inco
mpatibilities with multi-step workflows and constrained reagent exchange.
Atrandi’s semi-permeable capsule (SPC) technology addresses these challe
nges by enabling scalable multi-step reactions while preserving single-cel
l resolution and reducing assay and sequencing costs. SPCs compartmentaliz
 e single cells\, nuclei\, or beads within an aqueous core. \nAgenda: \n\n1
2:00-12:40 Dr. Stephanie Gao’s Talk ““Resolve Microbial Diversity\,
One Cell at a Time: Innovative Semi-Permeable Capsules (SPCs) for Single-C
ell Microbial Whole Genome Sequencing”\n12:40-12:50 Kristof O’Connor

DESCRIPTION:Reveal more complete biological insights by simultaneously pro
filing RNA\, protein\, and cellular morphology across millions of cells in
a single run. AVITI24 makes this depth of multidimensional analysis acces
sible through streamlined workflows and minimal hands-on time. \nIn this s
eminar we’ll share how Direct In Sample Sequencing (DISS)\, sequences RN
A directly from within intact cells\, enabling powerful applications such
as CRISPR guide RNA detection and laying the groundwork for future capabil
ities including whole transcriptome and spatial analysis from tissues. Thi
s session will introduce the AVITI24 system and its multiomics chemistries
and showcase how researchers are leveraging this approach to explore comp
lex biology with unprecedented depth and efficiency. \n/// REGISTER NOW //
