 shed with our tasks. \n\n\n\nWhat to expect: You can expect light yardwork
  tasks like weeding\, adding mulch\, and watering. You can also expect to
  be in community with other like-minded folks\, learning more about native
  plants as you help a garden thrive. \n\n\n\nWhat to bring: Be sure to wea
 r close-toe shoes and long pants. Bring water\, snacks\, bug spray\, sunsc
 reen and a hat. Bring your own gloves and gardening tools if you have them
 \, but we will have a limited amount of both to share too.

DESCRIPTION:The Gainesville Young Birders Club is a birdwatching club for 
 students aged 9 to 17 seeking to explore local natural areas and learn mor
 e about birds and the places they inhabit. Attending students should wear 
 sunscreen and closed-toed shoes and bring water. Loaner pairs of binocular
 s will be available for students who do not have access to a pair. Younger
  students are welcome with an accompanying parent or guardian. No membersh
 ip in Alachua Audubon is required for any attendees. Our first walk for fa
 ll 2026 will be on La Chua Trail. Meet trip leader and Audubon board membe
 r Maggie Paxson in the parking lot for the La Chua Trailhead located at 42
