  Memories\, latitude 36.74773 / longitude 119.77237 (Fresno\, CA) \nOn Oct
ober 1\, 2026\, in Fresno\, Antaramian Hofman exhibits the final artistic
display of migratory footprints by way of dance and people gatherings. Art
ist Hazel Antaramian Hofman is recognized for her ‘artwork of traces’:
art and writing that looks to movement and pathway as conceptual anchor p
oints of expression. \n \nThe unknowingness of where you have been and whe
re you are going is intrinsic to the movement of her pencil or the strokes
of her paintbrush. Born in Armenia\, now in Fresno\, the pathway in betwe
 en includes Moscow\, Paris\, New York\, Boston\, Madison\, Kenosha\, Milwa
ukee. For her\, geographic coordinates share spaces with those who travers
e them and those who document them. \nIn Spring 2026\, Antaramian complete
d Step 2 of her project. A three-generation family of dancers in the Armen
ian tradition: Karine Nurijanyan\, Anna Dolukhanyan\, and Ani Sargsyan led
viewer participants in an Armenian traditional dance placing their inked
footprint upon the floored canvas as it served to cushion their trac \nes
of the event\, the memory to come between themselves and the earth landsca
pe. It became a marking of language and the line folk dance\; all aimed at
connection. \nThe traces of footprints and handprints are embedded furthe
r with the overlaid painting of Step 3 of Antaramian’s project\, continu
ing to mark human physicality. A physicality that speaks to theindividual
and the collective. Antaramian’s artistic and performance art traces are
shared with other art motifs\, such as birds\, the sky\, nondescript land
\, dystopic patterns\, and shoes. The symbolic language of these motifs ar
 e terrestrial longings for flight.

DESCRIPTION:David Karamian will present his latest publication a new book
 \, Eternal Armenia: Khatchkars – The CrossStones of Noratus\,  \nThe b
ook is the culmination of nearly three years of photography\, research\, w
 riting\, and design. It is a 264-page\, large-format bilingual English-Arm
enian volume featuring nearly 200 photographs\, documenting the ancient ce
metery of Noratus near Lake Sevan—home to the world’s largest survivin
g collection of Armenian khatchkars. \nBeyond the photography\, the book e
xplores the history of Christianity in Armenia\, the evolution and symboli
sm of the khatchkar tradition\, the master artisans who created these rema
rkable monuments\, and the larger themes of faith\, memory\, resilience\,
and cultural preservation. \nAn important reason for creating the book was
the urgency of preservation. Following the deliberate destruction of the
historic Armenian cemetery of Julfa and the loss of thousands of irreplace
able khatchkars\, Noratus has assumed even greater significance. Yet this
extraordinary Armenian Christian and cultural treasure remains surprisingl
y little known\, even within our own community. \nEvent will take place at
the Armenian Museum of Fresno on Thursday October 8th\, at 10 AM to 6 PM.
\nDavid will be available to greet you at the museum and book signing.

DESCRIPTION:“It is impossible to tell whether Robin Dolarian’s art is
a reflection of his life\, or the reverse is true. In either case\, it’s
clear from a walk through his studio that the many facts of Dolarian –
Christian\, survivor of long-term health battles\, blistering social comme
 ntator\, self-deprecating humorist – have each found a medium and a voic
e.”   \n“I want to make art that shows I’m alive today.”  Dolar
