DESCRIPTION:The Edinburgh Walking & Socialising Group\nJoin me on this lin
 ear walk from Flotterstone to Balerno. We will meet at the Flotterstone In
 n for 10:15. The bus is scheduled to arrive at 10:02 but in my experience 
 usually runs late. The bus leaves the bus station at 09:25\, and is the Ho
 ustons 101A.\n\nThis is a fairly tough walk so if you are signing up then 
 you will need to ensure that you are fit enough to complete it. The walk d
 istance is around 11 miles.\n\nWe will climb the following hills\,Turnhous
 e\, Carnethy\, Scald Law\, South Black\, East and West Kip. We will descen
 d West Kip onto the Red Road and head for Balerno via Harlaw.\n\nwalking b
 oots / shoes are the best options for the walk. You should come prepared f
 or the weather conditions on the day. Bring a packed lunch and plenty flui
 ds.\n\nYou must have a profile photo of yourself to attend the event\, if 
 you do not then you will be moved to the "not going list". if you have pre
 viously no showed for a walk then please do not sign up as you will be rem
 oved. You should only attend the event if you have a place on the "going l
 ist".\n\nEach walker is responsible to their own well being and safety.

 ovely Sunday ramble through the Pentland hills from Flotterstone (EH26 0PP
 ) to Bonaly park (EH13 0PB).\nThe walk is delightful with beautiful and re
 warding views.\nI would describe the walk as moderately challenging\, and 
 it can be demanding in certain sections.\nDepending on the route we take i
 t should be approx. 12km in distance and take between 4 to 5 hours. We sho
 uld be finished between 6 and 7pm.\nWe shall be stopping for breaks on the
  hike\, so please bring food and something to drink.\nRegarding weather\, 
 this is Scotland and anything can happen\, so please be prepared and dress
  accordingly. The ground can be wet and muddy\, please wear sensible footw
 ear.\nCan we please meet by **WH SMITH'S** inside **Edinburgh bus Station*
 * (EH1 3DQ) at approx. 13.00. We shall take bus 101 leaving at 13.20 for D
 umfries. The journey is approximately 40 minutes and se should arrive in F
 lotterstone at 14.00.\nBus number 10 leaves every 30 minutes for Edinburgh
  from close to our finish destination at Bonaly Park.\nIf one is attending
  an event. Can you please turn up on time. We are not paid tour guides tha
 t gives location updates every ten minutes. We are too busy and not paid t
