DESCRIPTION:Time: 5 – 7 p.m. \nLocation: Lake Superior Estuarium – Con
 fluence Room\,  3 Marina Dr\, Superior\, WI  \nThis is the second class 
 focused on herbal plan ID and medicine making. The first was along the Mil
 lennium Trail and this one is on Barker’s Island\, where we will meet a 
 different a herbal helper. We will go for a walk and learn where and when 
 to spot it\, and characteristics that help identify it. After foraging\, w
 e’ll learn the plant’s herbal actions\, what ailments to use it for\, 
 responsible harvesting\, and making some medicine with the plant to take h
 ome. (If you are unable to do the walk portion of class\, samples will be 
 available in the classroom as well.) \nNo experience is necessary and walk
  will be along a flat surface.  \nOur teacher Lara Fahnlander is a certif
 icated herbalist\, studying under Master Herbalist Lise Wolff\, Chanchal C
 abrera\, Jim McDonald\, Rosemary Gladstar and more. \nEvent limited to 20
