DESCRIPTION:All aboard for a fall adventure on the Great Pumpkin Train! On
ce a year\, a pumpkin field appears along the tracks\, and the only way to
reach it is by train. Everyone gets a pumpkin when you arrive. Admission
to the Lake Superior Railroad Museum is included\, so when you’re done p
umpkin-picking\, you can explore trains\, history\, and plenty of indoor f
un at the Depot\, including balloon twisting\, ventriloquism\, magic\, and
  more. It’s a Duluth tradition that’s equal parts festive\, cozy\, and
a little bit quirky—just like autumn itself. \nWhen your train pulls in
to the pumpkin patch\, every ticketed passenger gets to claim their very o
wn pumpkin to haul home. The ride lasts about 90 minutes round trip\, givi
ng you just enough time to soak in the fall colors\, snap too many photos\
, and debate which pumpkin has the best “front porch face.” Back at th
e Depot\, you’re welcome to stick around until 5 p.m. to explore all the
museum exhibits. Pro tip: Bring a grocery bag (or three) to carry your pu
mpkins—because trying to juggle a pumpkin like a football through the De
pot isn’t nearly as graceful as it sounds. \nTicket Prices: \n\n$38 for
all passengers\, ages 3 and up. (only ticketed passengers get a pumpkin)\n
$58 for Domecar seats for all ages (infants too). More details below.\n$5
additional per ticket added on Saturday (peak day)\nThe Lake Superior Rail
road Museum\, included with your ticket for this event\, is only open unti
l 5pm. If you are on a later train\, be sure to come early to enjoy the mu
seum activities.\n\nOctober 15-18th. Three trains to choose from each day:
  10:30am\, 1pm\, 3:30pm. Tickets on sale now.  \n \nDomecar Seats are ava
ilable for a few dollars more\, where you sit in our unique upper level vi
ewing cars\, with lounges below to store pumpkins. Concession are availabl
e for sale with these tickets. Due to limited space\, all passengers (infa
nts too) have to pay for a DomeCar seat. \nFine Print Details: Ages 2 and
under are free\, but only ticketed passengers can get a pumpkin (parents s
hare with the little ones in the case of 2 and under).  The Pumpkin Patch
Ride is not wheelchair accessible for deboarding at the patch. However\,
wheelchairs can be loaded at the station into non-heated coaches for the r
ide. There are no accessible restrooms onboard the train. There are no gro
up-rate discounts available for this excursion. \n \nOther Good Stuff to K
now: \n\nTrains operate rain or shine and in snow.\nRestrooms are availabl
e on the train\, and coaches are heated/cooled as needed (except in open a
ir car areas).\nTrains operate rain or shine and in snow. Restrooms are av
ailable on the train\, and coaches are heated/cooled as needed (except in

ve arrived for checkin. First people to checkin are able to board first. T

extra early.\nThere is ramp parking on both sides of the Depot building\,
which is sometimes free on weekends (Sat/Sun). Follow signs accordingly\,
