Mary embarked upon her award-wi nning career as a writer in theatre and film and has garnered much acclaim for her plays\, poetry and short film scripts\, and for creating interdis ciplinary artworks combining writing\, poetry and photography presented in galleries and online. She established and became Artistic Director of Sma shing Times International Centre for the Arts and Equality and is Artistic Curator for the annual international Arts and Human Rights festival. \n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFreda Manweiler has worked with Smashing Times sin ce 1999. She is highly skilled in project management\, coordination and im plementation. She has extensive experience working at a European level dev eloping and delivering a range of European Initiatives\, collaborating wit h over 50 cultural\, educational and civil society organisations from over 22 European Countries. Promoting European Values through working on acti vities and projects that promote human rights\, gender equality\, positiv e mental health\, remembrance and civic engagement. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\nCiara Hayes is a graduate of University College Cork with an MA in A rts Management and Creative Producing. She also holds a teaching diploma f rom the London College of Music in Drama and Communication\, and a BA Join t Hons in Drama and Theatre Studies with German. She has a background in t heatre and worked for several years as a drama teacher\, later becoming a teacher of social skills for children on the autism spectrum. Since compl eting her Masters in 2020\, Ciara has worked as a producer and festival ad ministrator for Half Moon Festival (Cork\, 2020) and festival producer for the annual Irish Arts and Human Rights Festival (Dublin\, 2020 – presen t). She works at Smashing Times International Centre for the Arts and Equa lity as the festival producer\, based in Cork City\, and also works at UCC as a part-time lecturer on the MA Arts Management & Cultural Producing. C iara is experienced in facilitating workshops to promote community integra tion and equality.
