DESCRIPTION:The Fundamentals of Coaching Hockey course is designed to intr
 oduce coaches to the core principles of coaching hockey and provide a stro
 ng foundation for future coach development. Suitable for new and aspiring 
 coaches\, the course focuses on the essential skills required to plan and 
 deliver effective\, enjoyable and player-centred sessions. \nThroughout th
 e course\, participants will learn how to prepare and organise coaching se
 ssions\, break down and teach key hockey techniques\, and develop these te
 chniques into skills through the use of conditioned games and activities. 
 The course provides coaches with the knowledge and confidence to create po
 sitive learning environments that support player development. \nThe course
  is delivered over six hours\, either as a full-day workshop or across two
  evenings. Courses are offered centrally by Hockey Ireland\, while clubs m
 ay also host a course where sufficient demand exists and tutor availabilit
 y allows. \nTo attend the course\, participants must be aged 16 or over on
  the day of the course. In line with Irish legislation\, anyone undertakin
 g regular coaching activities involving children or vulnerable adults must

 ches who want to lead and deliver group hockey sessions across a range of 
 age groups\, from children to adults. Building on the Fundamentals of Coac
 hing Hockey course\, Level 1 focuses on creating fun\, safe and engaging s
 essions using the Play-Practice-Play coaching approach. \nOver two and a h
 alf days\, coaches will develop their ability to plan and organise session
 s\, provide technical feedback\, create game-like learning environments\, 
 and support the inclusion of all players\, including those with disabiliti
 es. Successful candidates will be equipped to deliver enjoyable\, player-c
 entred sessions that promote skill development and progression. \nThe cour
 se includes two practical pitch-based days followed by an assessed coachin
 g session\, with full attendance required to achieve certification. \nTo a
 ttend the course\, coaches must be aged 18 or over\, have completed the Fu
 ndamentals of Coaching Hockey course (with a minimum three-month gap befor
 e taking Level 1)\, and hold a valid Safeguarding qualification relevant t

 uthouse LGBTQ+ Centre for a free\, practical workshop designed especially 
 for LGBTQ+ people who are learning English. \nBring your CV along and work
  on it with support from our English language instructors. We can help you
  improve the language\, structure\, and presentation of your CV\, and make
  sure it clearly shows your skills and experience. \nThis is a hands-on wo
 rkshop\, so please bring your CV with you. You can also email your CV in a

  before the session. \nThe workshop is friendly\, relaxed\, and supportive
