DESCRIPTION:This talk delivers a practical overview of how quantum computi
ng threatens modern cryptography and what security teams should be doing t
oday to prepare. It briefly covers how current symmetric and asymmetric en
cryption works\, then explains how quantum algorithms like Shor’s and Gr
over’s undermine RSA\, ECC\, and weaken commonly used symmetric schemes.
The session examines real-world risks such as Harvest Now\, Decrypt Later
and Trust Now\, Forge Later\, helping attendees understand which systems
and data are most at risk based on longevity and impact. It also introduce
 s NIST’s post-quantum standards and their implications for PKI\, TLS\, a
nd enterprise environments. The talk concludes by comparing post-quantum c
ryptography\, hybrid approaches\, and quantum key distribution\, outlining
practical tradeoffs and deployment challenges. Attendees leave with a cle
ar action plan centered on crypto agility\, risk assessment\, and preparin
g infrastructure for a quantum-resilient future.Want to get involved? Chec
