DESCRIPTION:Lights Out Dallas! fall migration surveys begin on Monday Sept
 ember 14\, and run through Saturday November 14.\n\nSurveys are conducted 
 every day except for Wednesdays and Sundays\, between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 a
 .m. Whether you are a long-time volunteer or looking to join us for the fi
 rst time\, your participation is vital. Help us save migrating birds while
  contributing to essential community science in North Texas.\n\nThe group 
 will depart promptly at 6:05 a.m.\, so please plan to arrive a few minutes
  early.\nThere is no sign up\, just show up!\n\nMornings start and end at 
 the Perot Museum of Nature and Science Parking lot (entrance on Houston St
 ).\nUpon arrival at the parking lot gates\, press the Help button on the s
 creen and inform the security team that you are there for the Lights Out\,
  Dallas! bird monitoring surveys. This will grant you access to the parkin

 LLELA has just under 7 miles of hiking trails that could use the help of o
 ur Master Naturalists! Every Tuesday\, meet Leonard and other volunteers i
 n the Blackjack Trail parking lot to lend a hand in caring for the trails 
 on our nature preserve. Work will include trimming growth encroaching on t
 he trails and removal of obstacles and litter to maintain trail accessibil
 ity and integrity.\n\nBe prepared for work in the field. Wear sturdy shoes
  and dress for the weather (hot\, wet\, cold depending on the season)\; br
