DESCRIPTION:The power of Lions working together is about to make a life-ch
anging impact for children across North Texas.\n\n\n\nLions Districts 2-E2
and 2-X1 are teaming up with Sleep in Heavenly Peace for the upcoming “
Build Beds for Kids Day” on Saturday\, October 3\, 2026\, in Irving\, Te
xas. This incredible service project will bring Lions\, Leos\, local busin
esses\, and community volunteers together for one mission — making sure
no child sleeps on the floor.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe event will take place at th
e Lowe’s Outlet Store located at 3500 W Airport Fwy in Irving. Registrat
ion and check-in begin at 8:00 a.m.\, with the bed build starting at 9:00
a.m. and expected to continue until approximately 1:00 p.m.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nN
o special skills are needed to participate. Organizers stress that there i
s a job for everyone\, and experienced leadership from Sleep in Heavenly P
eace representatives will be on-site to guide volunteers throughout the pr
oject. All materials and tools will be provided. Lions are encouraged to w
ear their Lions vests so every club represented can be recognized during t
his major district-wide service event.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIn addition to volunte
ers\, donations are also being requested. Clubs are encouraged to become a
“500 Club Member” by donating enough to sponsor two beds at $250 each
. Participating clubs will receive a banner patch recognizing their suppor
t.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis is what Lions do best — serving together\, building
together\, and changing lives one project at a time. District 2-E2 encour
ages all Lions and Leos to come out\, lend a hand\, and help ensure that e
very child has a safe and comfortable place to sleep.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFor add
