By providing educational\, recr eational\, and wellness opportunities that foster growth and a sense of be longing\, C.H.A.T. enhances Cedar Hill’s fabric through programs for bot h young people and senior individuals. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n This project has a very personal core. Clara remembers the night a young boy knocked on her door after 10:30 p.m. in search of food. She was aware of the difficulties fami lies encounter in meeting basic needs because she was a working single par ent. “God showed me that I had to do something for the kids in the commu nity\,” she says. Out of that moment came a calling—and the foundation for C.H.A.T. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n In Cedar Hill\, Texas\, the nonprofit now provi des services to both young people and the elderly.
