Clara remembers the night a young boy knocked on her door after 10:30 p.m. in search of food. She was aware of the difficulties fami lies encounter in meeting basic needs because she was a working single par ent. “God showed me that I had to do something for the kids in the commu nity\,” she says. Out of that moment came a calling—and the foundation for C.H.A.T. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n In Cedar Hill\, Texas\, the nonprofit now provi des services to both young people and the elderly. Clara remembers the night a young boy knocked on her door after 10:30 p.m. in search of food. She was aware of the difficulties fami lies encounter in meeting basic needs because she was a working single par ent. “God showed me that I had to do something for the kids in the commu nity\,” she says. Out of that moment came a calling—and the foundation for C.H.A.T. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n In Cedar Hill\, Texas\, the nonprofit now provi des services to both young people and the elderly.
