DESCRIPTION:Please note this is a two day backpacking trip From Oct. 9-10.
Bask in the beauty of Mt. Adams in the southern Washington Cascades on th
is two-night backpacking adventure. We will leave Corvallis Friday night a
nd camp near the mountain before setting off on the trail Saturday from Ki
llen Creek Trailhead. We will hike ~5 miles and sleep at High Camp\, a sit
e with glorious views where mountaineers often spend the night before atte
mpting to summit. Don't let those 5 miles fool you - this is a moderate to
strenuous hike with 2300 feet of elevation gain. Some backpacking experie
nce recommended\, but doable for beginners with stamina!
