DESCRIPTION:Did you know there are possible contaminants in your well wate
r that you cannot see\, taste\, or smell? Municipal water is regulated by
the EPA so consumers can be quite confident that the quality of the water
coming from their tap is sufficient. However\, well water does not face su
ch stringent regulations and contamination testing often only occurs when
the well is first installed or in some locations when property ownership c
hanges. It is so important that well water users understand when and how t
o monitor their water quality and the associated benefits of doing so.\n\n
Proper maintenance and monitoring of your septic systems ensures proper tr
eatment of the effluent and a longer life of the system. Did you know tha
t the stress and overloading of systems during the holiday season can caus
e a stressed system to fail? Let's talk about signs and how to avoid the
dreaded surfacing effluent.\n\nLearn steps to protect the health of your f
amily\, neighbors and animals\, your property investment\, and the safety
of groundwater resources.\n\nRegistration for the webinar is required to r
eceive the zoom link the day before. Webinar registration closes 24 hours
before the class\, if you try to register after that time you will need to
choose another class offering.\n\nWe also offer in-person nitrate screeni

options here. \n\nOSU Extension Service offices in Linn\, Benton\, Lane\,
Lincoln\, Marion & Polk can also screen water samples during business hou
