 a statewide event organized by the Ohio History Connection in which local 
 sponsors are opening their historic buildings and landmarks to the public 
 for special tours and programs.   \nIn Worthington\, the following sites
  will be open on Sunday\, September 13th with complimentary admission: \n\
 nThe Orange Johnson House\, 956 High Street\n\nVisit the Orange Johnson Ho
 use museum for a glimpse into central Ohio’s early pioneer life. The hou
 se is furnished with period artifacts and guests can tour in an open house
  format. \n\n\nThe Old Rectory\, 50 West New England Avenue\, 2nd floor\n\
 nEnjoy a behind-the-scenes open house with seldom seen items from the coll
 ection on exhibit\, including items from the lace collection\, as well as 
 collections storage areas.\n\n\n The American Legion\, 700 Morning Street
 \n\nPost 239 of the American Legion was organized in Worthington shortly a
 fter the end of World War I in 1919. For veterans\, it is a place to gathe
 r in the camaraderie of shared experience. Visit the recently renovated po
 st\, where historical photographs and documents relating to members will b
 e on display. \n\n\nHigh Road Gallery\, 12 East Stafford Street\n\nAn art
 ist collective housed in an 1818 building\, the Buttles-Pinney-Brown house
 \, constructed by local brickmason Arora Buttles. Enjoy the architecture a
 s well as the current gallery exhibition and work of the resident artists.
 \n\n\nSharon Memorial Hall\, 137 East Dublin-Granville Road\n\nFirst built
  as the Wright residence in 1861\, this property came under the care of th
 e Trustees of the Sharon Township Memorial in 1945\, retaining many early 
 features. Veteran memorabilia is on display. \n\n\nSt. John’s Episcopal
  Church & Cemetery\, 700 High Street\n\nFounded in 1804 by many of Worthin
 gton’s founders\, St. John’s\, its churchyard\, and Township Hall were
  added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. Explore 222 ye
 ars of parish history\, tour the churchyard and community cemetery\, visit
  the nave where services have been held since 1831\, and discover the hist
 oric ties between St. John’s and Worthington. \n\n\nOld Worthington Libr
 ary\, 820 N High Street\n\nGet a rare behind-the-scenes look at how books 
 and other items make it to the shelves at Old Worthington Library. See the
  inner-workings of the building\, learn its history and hear tales of its

DESCRIPTION:Join Sip & ScriptⓇ for Modern Calligraphy Fun! \n\n\n\nJoin
  us at Grove City Brewing in Grove City\, OH for pretty lettering for 
 beginners! Whether you’re a stationery nerd\, DIY Bride-to-be\, or just 
 a crafty individual\, in this workshop you’ll be learning an introductio
 n to modern calligraphy with a pointed dip pen and ink. We will cover all 
 the basics and get you ready to add those special lettered details to all 
 your spooky spreads – think lettered pumpkins at your front door\, on yo
 ur bar cart\, as a Halloween party hostess gift\, or special occasion gift
 !  The perfect crafty night out! \n\n\n\nClass includes 1.5 hours of inst
 ruction and demonstration\, our beginner’s calligraphy kit (two nibs\, b
 lack ink pot\, 2 letter guides\, tracing paper and straight pen holder)\, 
 and all materials to write on. Everything is yours to keep at the end of t
 he workshop! Additionally\, we will be lettering on 3″ faux pumpkins at
  the end of our class time!  Your ticket price also includes a glass of 
 beer or wine of your choice.  Non-alcoholic options are available as well
 . \n\n\n\nGet your tickets below! \n\n\n\nFeel free to come early\, grab y
 our seat\, and purchase any food (food and drinks available to purchase th
 roughout class too!). Class will start promptly at 6:00PM!  \n\n\n\nClas
 s Expectations: Yes\, lefties are welcome too! This class is encourage
 d for someone who has never taken a calligraphy class before. We teach the
  basics and our expectation for you is to have ink flowing through your ni
 b with enough confidence to be able to practice way beyond class. We love 
 using tracing paper with our guides to help you build muscle memory and de
 velop your own style!  If you have tried calligraphy out before\, this cl
 ass will be a great refresher and hopefully a chance to try some new suppl
 ies from our beginner kit that will re-introduce you to this lovely form o
 f art! \n\n\n\nA note on bringing guests 16 and under: We love to share t
 his passion with kids. You are welcome to get a ticket for your child as l
 ong as you are comfortable with people around them having a drink or two.
