DESCRIPTION:Join us as we celebrate the return of lake sturgeon to the Cuy
ahoga River! Once a familiar part of Ohio’s waterways\, these ancient fi
sh disappeared from the river for decades. Thanks to years of restoration
work and improving river health\, lake sturgeon are making their way back.
Help us mark this exciting moment and send the next generation of sturgeo
n on their journey into the Cuyahoga River. \nSmall visitor groups will ha
ve the opportunity to take turns releasing one young sturgeon into the riv
er and learn about the ongoing efforts to restore the Cuyahoga River water
shed. \nOn the same date\, the Cuyahoga Valley National Park and Cleveland
Metroparks will be hosting their own sturgeon release events. Throughout
these events\, discover how collaboration and stewardship are helping tran
sform the Cuyahoga River and create a healthier future for wildlife and pe
ople alike. \nPlease RSVP\nWhile the event is free and open to the public\
, registration to release a sturgeon is required to ensure a great experie
nce for all visitors. One ticket is equal to one sturgeon released. Famil
ies and groups should register together\, with up to four people per ticke
t\, to release a sturgeon as a group. (For example\, if you have six peop
le in your party\, you should register for two tickets.) Please be prepare
