DESCRIPTION:Don't miss the important opportunity to hear Drew Robinson's R
 emarkable story of survival\, recovery\, and resilience.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
\n\n\n\nThe City of Montgomery is proud to continue its commitment to comm
unity wellness and mental health awareness by welcoming former Major Leagu
e Baseball player and mental health advocate Drew Robinson for a special c
ommunity presentation on Thursday\, October 29.\n\nRobinson’s story is o
ne of resilience\, hope\, and the power of seeking help. On April 16\, 202
0\, just days before his 28th birthday\, he survived a suicide attempt tha
t forever changed the course of his life. Nearly ten months later\, Robins
on made the courageous decision to share his experience publicly\, helping
to raise awareness about mental health challenges\, reduce stigma\, and e
ncourage important conversations about suicide prevention.\n\nToday\, Robi
nson uses his platform to inspire others through his message that “Stren
gth Isn’t Always Physical®.” His presentation offers a powerful remin
der that mental health struggles can affect anyone and that hope and heali
ng are possible.\n\nBorn and raised in Las Vegas\, Nevada\, Robinson was d
rafted by the Texas Rangers out of high school and spent parts of 12 seaso
ns playing professional baseball within the Texas Rangers\, St. Louis Card
inals\, and San Francisco Giants organizations. Following his recovery\, h
e found a new purpose in helping others navigate mental health challenges
and advocating for greater access to support and care.\n\nCurrently\, Robi
nson works in the Mental Health and Wellness Department with the San Franc
isco Giants\, where he champions player mental health initiatives and peer
-to-peer support programs. Through his speaking engagements across the cou
ntry\, he shares his personal journey with honesty and vulnerability\, enc
ouraging audiences to prioritize their mental well-being and support those
around them.\n\nThis presentation is expected to be a meaningful and impa

ers\, and anyone interested in promoting mental health awareness and suppo
