DESCRIPTION:Tai Chi is an inclusive form of exercise that anyone can do\,
whether you are in peak shape\, or have limited mobility. Despite its slow
pace\, it is a valuable exercise for all ages\, read about the health ben
efits below. Dress comfortably and be prepared to have fun in Ken’s clas
 s. \nHealth Benefits \nTai Chi has numerous health benefits. It is good f
or balance\, flexibility\, and stress – regular Tai Chi practice can imp
rove overall physical health and well-being. In fact\, Harvard Health sugg
ests Tai Chi might be “…the perfect activity for the rest of your life
.” \nAs a form of exercise\, researchers in Toronto found it is equivale
nt to brisk walking. So\, instead of worrying about your steps (how boring
)\, join Ken’s class and have some more fun while you exercise. \nUnlike
other forms of exercise\, Tai Chi movements are performed with relaxed mu
scles and a focus on deep breathing. Slow and gentle\, Tai Chi can improve
blood flow\, balance\, and relaxation. Each Tai Chi pose flows into the n
ext with circular\, continuous movements. This helps improve your balance
and flexibility without putting strain on muscles and joints. \nTai Chi is
also a very social activity\, commonly practiced in groups that rhythmica
lly synchronize slow movements with deep breathing. Like meditation\, Tai
Chi creates a calm and focused mind and can create a state of mindfulness.
\nTai Chi also benefits emotional well-being and mental health. Regular T
ai Chi practice can improve concentration\, physical self-awareness\, and
create a sense of inner peace. Tai chi is a great exercise for relieving s
tress and has been shown to benefit hypertension and high blood pressure.
\nWhat is Tai Chi? \nIt is a Chinese traditional exercise that blends mar
tial arts’ movement with meditation. Dating back a thousand years\, Tai
Chi remains a popular activity in China and around the world. \nTai Chi is
a series of slow\, choreographed martial arts movements and poses. Tai Ch
i poses are circular and continuous\, with an emphasis on smooth transitio
ns and maintaining a centered and grounded posture. Tai Chi poses mimic th
e movements of animals or nature\, such as flowing water or a bird in flig
ht.  \nKen has been practicing martial arts for 27 years\, and started Ta
i Chi training in 1996 with Sifu Dale Washington\, Sifu Ban Toy in 2000 an
d Grand Master Yang Jun in 2006. He has been practicing Tai Chi for 21 yea
rs and teaching Tai Chi for 12 years. In 2016\, he received a Gold Eagle c
ertificate from Yang Family Tai Chi Chuan Association. certificate. Ken is
also one of Grand Master Yang Jun’s Disciples for the Yang Family Tai C
hi Chuan. He teaches Kickboxing and Full-contact Martial Arts teacher and
is certified by Ng Family Martial Arts Association.

DESCRIPTION:Leadership Intelligence\nA FAN webinar featuring Caroline Webb
\, in conversation with Jonathan Haidt\, Ph.D.\nLeadership can be rewardin
g\, but it is also deeply demanding. Leaders must deliver results now whil
e planning for the long term\, think strategically while managing the dail
y friction that arises on any team. Technology is reshaping the work in ge
neration-defining ways\, and the division of labor between human and machi
ne keeps shifting. What does it take to lead intelligently through all tha
t? \nIn her new book “Leadership Intelligence: Science-Backed Strategies
for Mastering 21 Everyday Management Challenges” economist and executiv
e coach Caroline Webb brings the science-backed approach that made her fir
st book\, How to Have a Good Day\, an enduring success to leaders seeking
to raise their game. Rooted in psychology\, neuroscience\, and behavioral
economics\, and brought to life by real stories of world-class leaders\, t
he book offers an integrated system for mastering the 21 challenges organi
zations and teams face most often. \nWebb arranges these around three stre
ngths of a great leader: making wise choices\, inspiring people to perform
at their best\, and building resilience through ups and downs. Written in
a clear\, engaging style\, “Leadership Intelligence” shows that leade
rship is something anyone can build and cultivate over time to handle hard
situations with grace\, decide with clarity\, and lift a team to greatnes
 s. \nWebb will be in conversation with Jonathan Haidt\, Ph.D.\, the Thomas
Cooley Professor of Ethical Leadership at New York University’s Stern S
chool of Business and the New York Times bestselling author of several boo

DESCRIPTION:Do you have a budding artist in the family? Give their creativ
ity room to grow in this engaging after-school art class designed specific
ally for students in Grades 1–4! \nEach class is thoughtfully structured
to balance artistic freedom with meaningful learning. We begin with a fre

and get their creative energy flowing. From there\, we dive into the world
of art history by introducing an “Artist of the Day”—a renowned or
influential figure whose work provides the inspiration for that day’s pr
oject. \nStudents will explore various artistic movements\, mediums\, and
styles from around the world\, helping them gain a broader understanding o
f art and its cultural significance. With guidance and encouragement\, the
y’ll create their own artwork inspired by the featured artist\, putting
their personal spin on classic techniques while developing new skills and
confidence. \nThe class wraps up with group clean-up\, an age-appropriate
art discussion that encourages observation and expression\, and a fun “d
raw-a-long” activity to reinforce what they’ve learned in a playful an
d supportive way. \nMore than just an art class\, this is a space where yo
ung artists can explore\, reflect\, and connect with the wider world throu
gh creativity. It’s a perfect opportunity for self-expression\, experime
ntation\, and cultivating a lifelong appreciation for the arts and global

DESCRIPTION:Reiki Accelerated Class 1 and 2\nDiscover the Healing Power of
Reiki \nReiki is a Japanese energy healing practice that supports physica
l\, emotional\, and mental balance. It uses gentle touch to channel univer
sal life energy into the body\, helping to promote relaxation and reduce s
tress. The word Rei means “universal life\,” and Ki means “energ
y\,” so Reiki literally translates to Universal Life Force Energy. \nTh
is holistic practice is based on the belief that all living things are sus
tained by a vital life force. When this energy flows freely\, the body can
maintain health and balance. Through Reiki\, practitioners aim to restore
this flow\, facilitating healing at physical\, emotional\, and spiritual
levels. \nUsing the practitioner’s hands\, Reiki energy is transferred t
o the recipient\, calming the nervous system and enhancing overall well-be
ing. Many find it to be a deeply soothing and grounding experience. \nWhat

hn Hughes’ The Breakfast Club is a defining coming-of-age film that expl

life. Set during one Saturday detention at a suburban Chicago high school\
, the film brings together five students who seem to have nothing in commo
 n. \nThere’s the brain\, the athlete\, the basket case\, the princess\,
and the criminal. Each arrives with a different reputation and a different
