 distinctive process contributes to a cleaner\, smoother distillate and pla
 ys a key role in shaping the character of many exceptional Japanese whiski
 es. \nThe program will also highlight the legacy of Jokichi Takamine\, a p
 ioneering chemist and biotechnologist who first isolated adrenaline and la
 ter introduced koji fermentation techniques to American distilleries\, bri
 dging Japanese and Western scientific practices. \nAs part of this experie
 nce\, participants will enjoy a curated tasting of koji-fermented whiskies

  During his time there he grew to love and appreciate the simplicity of a

 ident Artist 2024 – Irene Hsiao will perform at the Heritage Museum of A
 sian Art as part of the project If The Sky Could Dream.  \nAbout the Tour
  –  \nLearn about Asian Art in the Heritage Museum of Asian Art with a 
 guided hour-long tour around the gallery. Museum-trained interns and volun
 teers will give a talk on selected artworks. Each word is packed with fasc
 inating insights\, information\, and stories. During this participatory ex
 perience\, you’ll connect with works from across the collection and get 
 a close look at highlighting artworks. Visitors of all ages are welcome. \
 nPlease note tours may be canceled or postponed due to unforeseen circumst
 ances. \nAbout the project –  \nIF THE SKY COULD DREAM focuses on the C
 hinese dragon as a powerful being that fosters harmony. This creature is e
 mblematic of China as well as a mythological being for many Asian and West
 ern cultures and thus evokes a sense of mysticism\, and intrigue in many c
 ommunities. Representing the Chinese Dragon as a water deity\, the install
 ation series will feature images and projections of the weather and local 
 bodies of water in Chicago. \nIf The Sky Could Dream is supported\, in par
 t\, by a Foundation for Contemporary Arts Emergency Grant \nAbout Irene Hs
 iao \nIrene Hsiao creates performances in conversation with visual art in
