DESCRIPTION:Forum to promote third sector involvement in adult social care
delivery\n\n\n \nSection 16 Forums in Wales are partnership networks esta
blished under the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014. In Card
iff the Section 16 Forum is called the Shaping Care Together Forum. The Ac
t requires local authorities\, working with health boards and other partne
 rs\, to promote social enterprises\, co-operatives\, user-led services\, a
nd third-sector organisations that provide care\, support\, and preventati
ve services. \nThe forums bring together service providers\, commissioners
\, voluntary organisations\, health partners\, and community representativ
es to develop a shared understanding of priorities and to exchange good pr
actice. Their purpose is to support the growth of a strong social value se
ctor that can contribute to the delivery of health and social care service
s across Wales. \nAn important principle of the Shaping Care Together Foru
m is the involvement of citizens in the design and operation of services.
Forums therefore support greater participation by service users\, carers\,
and communities in shaping local care provision. \nThe Shaping Care Toget
her Forum in Cardiff has been operating since 2024 and meets on a quarterl
y basis\, with all organisations that are involved in the delivery of adul
t social care invited to attend. \nFor any further enquiry contact C3SC on
