 IPS will be CLOSED on Friday\, September 11.  \nFor the fourth year in a 
 row\, the Buffalo Naval Park will host its largest day of volunteerism on 
 Friday\, September 11. National Grid employees will partake in day-long ac
 tivities to kick off the 9/11 Day of Service\, including welding\, carpent
 ry work\, removing rust\, running electrical wire\, and painting the histo
 ric vessels. \nThey’ll be joined by staff from Highmark Inc. bringing th
 e total number of volunteers to around 150. We are so grateful for their s
 upport and look forward to seeing all of the work they accomplish at the N
 aval Park. \nThe Buffalo Naval Park will host a 9/11 ceremony near the Vie
 tnam Memorial at 11:00 AM that is free and open to the public. The gift sh
 op will remain open from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM. \nImmediately after the 9/1
 1 Ceremony\, the E.M. Cotter Fireboat will be docking near the Vietnam Mem
 orial to offer ticketed tours of the boat until 5:30pm\, with proceeds ben
 efiting the Fireboat and the Buffalo Naval Park. This is a unique opportun
 ity to explore the world’s oldest active Fireboat!
