DESCRIPTION:Swing Blue Alliance is committed to registering as many Democr
ats as possible\, yet one of the hardest groups to reach is unregistered y
oung adults. Our solution is to use data on high-turnout Democratic househ
olds to identify parents of unregistered young adults\, and then empower t
hose parents to encourage their kids to register. \nThis groundbreaking po
stcard project kicked off in Ohio last month and is now focusing on Pennsy
lvania\, where there are important governor and state legislative races as
well as 3 of the most competitive congressional districts in the country.
\nAs with most Swing Blue Alliance mail projects\, we're building in res
earch to measure its impact and refine this innovative strategy for future
campaigns. \nPostcards are easy to write: they only require a 6 word hand
written message and placement of an address label and stamp on the card.
A packet of 25 cards costs $5.50\, including tax. Postcards stamps will co
st an additional $16.25. (Stamps are not included in the packets. If you'r
 e unable to buy them\, contact Bob Sable\, rsable@aya.yale.edu.) \nIndica
te the # of packets (25 postcards each packet) when registering and please
consider ordering two or more packets if possible. \nPick up will be on
Sept 4th and 5th or by arrangement. Completed cards must be mailed by Se
ptember 15th. \nThanks and let us know if you've questions.\nSloan\, Laura

DESCRIPTION:18+\, Positive I.D. Required \n“A Band Of Brothers” isn’
 t just an Allman Brothers tribute band\; they’re a powerhouse\, uniting
the top-tier talent of the East Coast. The brainchild of ace Boston guitar
ists Ryan Taylor and Johnny Trama\, this collective\, more than a mere hom
age\, harness the Allman Brothers tradition as a vehicle to bring a unique
and exciting experience every night. The ensemble features artists from a
n array of bands including – North Mississippi Allstars \,Dickey Betts a
nd Great Southern\, Pink Talking Fish\, Neighbor\, Dub Apocalypse\, Peter
Wolf’s Midnight Travelers\, Dickey Betts Great Southern\, Slightly Stoop
id\, Sonya Rae Taylor\, Band of Killers and more. \nMatt Zeiner began his
professional music career touring with Matt “Guitar” Murphy\, who expo
sed him to a fusion of blues and jazz. His career took a significant turn
in 2000 when Dickey Betts of the Allman Brothers Band recruited him as a k
eyboardist and vocalist\, leading to a fruitful collaboration and tour. \n
Ryan Taylor on slide guitar spearheads the band with his exceptional talen
ts. His journey\, steeped in the rich musical traditions of Austin and Nas
hville\, saw Ryan honing his craft the old-fashioned way. \nJohnny Trama o
n guitar conjures up riffs and rhythms that speak volumes. His journey thr
ough the realms of rock\, soul\, and blues\, playing with icons like Betty
e LaVette and Jesse Dee\, has armed him with a mystical musical prowess. \
nJesse Williams on bass is an alchemist of groove\, spinning each note int
o a rhythmic tapestry. His Grammy-nominated escapades with the likes of Du
ke Robillard and Joe Louis Walker have endowed him with a bass prowess tha
t’s both fluid and formidable. \nTom Arey behind the drums is nothing sh
ort of a powerhouse\, orchestrating beats and fills with the finesse of a
seasoned composer. His tenure with Peter Wolf’s Midnight Travelers has h
oned a style that’s explosive yet eloquent\, much like the Allmans’ ow
n percussive legends. \nBrendan Tommaney on percussion is a true artist\,
painting rhythms with a palette of beats and textures. Educated at the New
England Conservatory of Music and seasoned with groups like Pink Talking
Fish\, Tommaney brings a jazz-infused sensibility that adds depth and dime
nsion to the band’s sound. \nPaul Wolstencroft on keyboards crafts melod
ies that mesmerize and transport. His tenure with Slightly Stoopid has giv
en him a swagger that shines through each performance\, weaving a spell of
harmonies and counter-melodies that elevate the band’s tribute from mer
e replication to a reimagined homage.

DESCRIPTION:Throughout the history of the United States\, the Constitution
has been central to our public life. It has inspired hope\, and it has pr
ovoked despair. It has remained in place as few other national constitutio
ns have. Yet it has also been amended\, and some today think it needs to c
hange again. At a moment when our founding document's basic meaning seems
more contested than ever\, how should we look at the Constitution? \n\n
To engage this urgent question\, the Clough Center is delighted to host it
s fifth annual “What the Constitution Means to Us” event\, in cooperat
ion with the Winston Center for Leadership and Ethics. Inspired by Heidi
Schreck’s award-winning play\, and in the spirit of Constitution and Cit
izenship Day\, this event provides the Boston College community with an op
portunity to reflect on our Constitution. \n\nIn addition to showcasing c
ontributions from select students and faculty\, this year’s celebration
will feature two renowned scholars: Doris Kearns Goodwin\, the celebrated
presidential historian\, and Akhil Reed Amar\, Sterling Professor of Law a
nd Political Science at Yale University and the author\, most recently\, o
 f Born Equal: Remaking America’s Constitution\, 1840–1920 (2025).\n\nF
eaturing Guest Speakers:\n\nAkhil Reed Amar is Sterling Professor of Law a
nd Political Science at Yale University\, where he teaches constitutional
law in both Yale College and Yale Law School. After graduating from Yale C
ollege\, summa cum laude\, in 1980 and from Yale Law School in 1984\, and
clerking for Judge (later Justice) Stephen Breyer\, Amar joined the Yale f
aculty in 1985 at the age of 26. He is Yale’s only living professor to h
ave won the University’s unofficial triple crown — the Sterling Chair
for scholarship\, the DeVane Medal for teaching\, and the Lamar Award for
alumni service.\n\nDoris Kearns Goodwin is a world-renowned\, presidential
historian\, public speaker and Pulitzer Prize-winning\, New York Times #1
best-selling author and partner in Pastimes Productions. Goodwin is often
called upon by the news media and late night TV hosts as well as hundreds
of companies\, educational institutions\, government agencies and nonprof
its to share her vast knowledge of leadership and provide historical conte
xt for current day events\, as our democracy is challenged\, international
wars rage\, and we continue to struggle in a divided and polarized countr

sandboxing\, and resistance. In this workshop\, we will engage in 3 Massac

t undemocratic AI adoption – In February 2026\, Gov. Maura Healey made M
assachusetts the first state to roll out ChatGPT across the entire execut
