 (Department of Economics) about why and how to involve undergraduate stude
 nts in research\, particularly in disciplines where research is not tradit
 ionally organized around labs. He will discuss approaches designed to buil
 d a community around research\, support students in pursuing more ambitiou
 s career goals\, and help them develop the confidence and agency to direct
  their own learning and work. Participants will also have an opportunity t
 o brainstorm how one or more of these approaches could be adapted to their
