 h for\, How to Observe It \nDr. James Lattis holds a Ph.D. in the history 
 of science from University of Wisconsin and helped create UW Space Place\,
  the university’s astronomy outreach and public education center\, which
  he directed from its founding until its closing in 2025. He manages the h
 istoric Washburn Observatory\, teaches courses in astronomy and its histor
 y\, and is a frequent guest on Wisconsin and National Public Radio. Lattis
  will guide the audience through the current night sky\, sharing what to w
 atch for and how to get the most out of stargazing\, whether with the nake
 d eye\, binoculars or a telescope. \nBadger Talks reflects our tradition o
 f the Wisconsin Idea — to extend the resources of the university to cit
 izens of the state. Over 300 Badger Talks are hosted around the state each
  year\, featuring faculty and staff with expertise in a variety of discipl
 ines. Talk topics range from cutting edge discoveries to happiness in the
