 n to read "The Gay Science" by Friedrich Nietzsche. We will read until the
  end of the book before our next MeetUp.\n\n"For our next book we'll be re
 ading Friedrich Nietzsche's The Gay Science (1882) — and don't let the t
 itle mislead you\, it comes from a medieval phrase for the "joyful art" of
  poetry\, so it really means something closer to "joyful wisdom."\n\nRathe
 r than a dense treatise\, it's a lively collection of short aphorisms\, es
 says\, and even poems covering knowledge\, art\, morality\, and everyday h
 uman psychology.\n\nIt's the book where Nietzsche famously first declares 
 that "God is dead" — not as a celebration but as a meditation on how Eur
 opean culture has quietly lost the religious framework that once gave life
  meaning\, and what might replace it.\n\nIt also introduces two of his mos
 t compelling ideas: the "eternal recurrence" (would you be able to affirm 
 living your exact life over and over\, infinitely?) and amor fati\, the lo
 ve of one's fate. Widely regarded as his most accessible and personal work
 \, it should make for a rich discussion. Looking forward to digging into i
